Ahh ok, I get it now. I'm more used to things being mounted to drive letters not folders.

I understand now. It makes perfect sense, partitions on Linux are handled a bit differently than windows. Seems like partitions under linux are more like just having multiple quota set directories in windows which allow access depending on the users access level.

Am I close?

Ahh... when I logged into the forum this was the only one highlighted as new. I shall read the other! :)

The .htaccess file that was doign redirects via sub domains on my site isn't working correctly. As a matter of fact, even the direct url on the server seems to be broken. Not exactly sure what's going on, but I'm sure it's not the .htaccess file since I tested it by temporarily renaming it.

That's ok, I just tend to do that. I've been one of those W3 standards nuts for awhile now. No biggie I point it out all the time. :P

The validator actually tells you everything that's wrong in the code. It's pretty handy to use, may want to run it on all your pages. But most importantly, test your site on more than 1 or 2 browsers. Don't want to cut of possible users right?

I actually like the design of this site, not a whole lot of color though. The code in the background could use work as detailed here. Yeah I'm one of those code picky type, hi!. ;)

Other than that, looks good to me.

But remember, joke or not, what I said still stands true. In terms of site security you should never save your passwords. Nor should you share your passwords with others for things like shared webspace (unless you really know the person and even then there is some risk)

Also, keep backups. Even if this was a false alarm, you cannot always rely on your webhost(s) to have completely updated backups of your site or its information. Make sure that you have backups of your own, esspecially if you have just done a major update. Better safe than sorry, and it saves a ton of work if something like the recent "hacked" incident occures.

You can also get really creative and set up a system that does things like an auto backup of your database data to an offsite location (like a home server set up to do automatic backups).

General Chat / Holy crap, is this true?

I've heard of it, but never seen it in action. On AD there are only about 20 people who have ever even seen this boss, little lone spread some glitch plague (which if it were true I'm sure blizzard already fixed).

You should never save your passwords, so even though he shouldn't have done it, both parties are somewhat at fault. Seems to fall under similar practices as giving someone else your password to share your webspace.

Now I'm not saying what he did is right, or that amber was wrong (actually he was quite an ass hole over something really stupid), but you've gotta take into consideration what occured all the way around.

I hope she has a backup of her stuff. Normally the best way to fix something like this is to change your password, contact the admin (seems to have already been done), reload your latest backup (assuming you have one), and go about your business.

Quote from: XepherGhosts: Okay... maybe. I'm not sure the "Un" applies though.
If they move on to whatever next realm they are *supposed* to go to.... but when they linger within the realm of the living, then they are considerable as undead. I'm pretty sure that the term "undead" applies to spirits who are forcefully trapped within the realm of the living by some sort of magic. Thus causing them to either be under the control of the master of said magic, or trapped to wander as a restless soul never to find peace.

Quote from: XepherDeath Knights: Umm... too many mythos here. Mostly just a zombie with armor though.
Actually... Death Knights are normally larger than normal, sentiant skeletons that wear full black plate and carry either a two handed sword or a large sword and shield. They are considerably smarter than zombies, probably on equal par with vampires, but much mroe deadly than most. As their name implies, they cause death. They are capable of killing an opponent in multiple ways very rapidly. The strike of a death knights weapon, gaze of it's eyes, or even it's touch are enough to kill any mortal being.

Now, as for a few more undead.

Banshee (Kind of like a ghost, but much more dangerous. The screem of a banshee can kill any who hear it. They are generally self aware as well.)
Skeleton Warrior (pretty much similar to a death knight, but not as dangerous. While they do wear armor and are very sentiant, they are not capable of causing death in the same instant manners as a death knight).
Grim Reaper (Death)

Isn't any stings attached.... other than the need to feed, no sunlite, and weakness to wood and silver through the heart. Other than that, vampires are one of the few undead that are actually self aware.
