You can't really tell due to the numerous filters I used, but that rubble in that picture is actually earth.  :D

As you can see, I don't think we'll have much tech-wise to worry about in 20-30 years.  ::)

Don't get eaten by a bear!

You know you're tired when you mistake "bear" for "dear".

4.7 million records really isn't nothing for a mysql (5+) server.

We've got stores with more records than that, as well as database image storage, and no big performance hits like that...

...but that also depends on if the table was structured intelligently.

Actually Xepher, if the file was renamed I would strongly suggest looking it over or setting it as a non-executable for now. It's possible that the script has been compromised, and would be unsafe to allow it to run until it's investigated.

Warhammer fantasy roleplaying.... not the 40k shit.

They are two completely separate games man. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying is a total 100% roleplaying game, half the time we don't even use figures.

Warhammer FTW, others are just too damn complicated.

You need 2 D10's, that's pretty much it.

... well that's assuming that you're moving from a host where you can SCP things (unix/linux/bsd ... not windows).

Well, think of it this way.

How would you feel if you had a set of simple rules or policies, which are clearly outlined, and stickied in various places... yet people still ignored them on a very frequent basis? He's actually rather lenient in my opinion, as the moment someone just ignored things like the "Clarifications: Read This Before Commenting or Applying!" thread and posted an app that is completely outside the park... I wouldn't ask them to rework and resubmit like he does, I'd just flat out ban them, permanently.

He's not bad, he's a computer guy. Take it from me, trying to make sense out of things that us computer people understand very well to those who don't isn't always that easy. Many times we'll end up confusing them and not even realize it, as it makes perfect sense to us. I've been there numerous times, and I'm sure Xepher has too. So if you still don't understand something, don't be afraid to speak up and state that you don't. Because it's really hard to explain things better when you don't know that the person doesn't understand it.

if you have shell access to both systems, a few linux-fu commands can move your site pretty quick (even your database)
