Some blogs are really nice and I read them from time to time.  However, a lot of people use blogs rather than take the few minutes needed to learn HTML.  It's fast and easy and I think for them, it's the new WYSIWYG editor.  Same with forums and wikis, IMHO.

From what I could hear from the demo clips, Fireworks is probably my favorite, possibly followed by Sigma.  The singing in Blue - is that you?  Some of the recordings sounded really scratchy - I don't know if that was on purpose or just a side effect of whatever equipment you're using.

I'm with Munerift...and differential calculus seems like a sexual encounter deterrant.

Nothing's 100% perfect and this has been running fairly well and for a good price, right?  Unless the frequency increases, I'd say they're still good.  A lot of the sites here have longevity or at least a dedicated fanbase, so I would think that the occasional downtime shouldn't kill them.

I also think I live in offpeak hours. :(

Gratuitous near nudity?  *bumps 300 up on her list of movies* :P

I haven't seen Hannibal Rising, but I'm not sure if I'd go to see it.  Red Dragon and Hannibal were a bit of a disappointment, compared to Silence of the Lambs.

The gaijin bar in my town has Guinness!  But I found some corned beef, which was more like the corned beef in corned beef hash, so I made that, cabbage and potatoes, and soda bread.

Your artwork is amazing, but I really like the Got Fleas one because it cracks me up.

I found a tiny little can of corned beef here.  I can kind of have a St. Patrick's Day this weekend. ^-^

I'm blaming everything on Puxatawny Phil, who, with his one vicious lie, perpetuated a chain of events that have left so many people in a lurch.  Mostly that it's still winter and bad things happen in winter.  I've had two RL friends suffer technological problems too and a bit of me is getting paranoid.  I hope your luck changes soon.  You're doing stuff that to most people, myself included, is massively complicated.  I don't think you fail at life.  *digital cookies*

I love the cat pictures...I've seen a bunch of them on LiveJournal.  The Microsoft one is awesome though...I'll have to share that with my friend, who is a die-hard Windows fan.

Hmm...thanks, Xepher.  I really need to do more reading on this.  I just get screwed up with technical terms, which makes me great for tech support but horrible for trying to learn from manuals.

Why would a website be more beneficial to you than your current gallery at DA?  How would a personal artsite be different from what you already have?  Is there any reason or justification other than, "I want to make a website!!!"?

I read somewhere that htaccess files affect directories recursively, so it should mean that the htacess file in a subfolder would only affect the subfolder and all subsequent folders inside?  I tried also with RewriteBase and even RewriteRule with a straightforward http://blahblahblah.php and nothing seemed to work.  I found a support forum yesterday for only mod_rewrite issues, so I'm going to try there.  I'm absolutely stumped as to why such a basic statement won't work, even though I've found exact examples in tutorials.  Thanks for the offer though. ^-^
