Well, as christmas approaches we all gather together with family and loved ones to celibrate this holiday. Even though I'm sure people are probably already preparing for the occasion, I'd still like to wish everyone here happy holidays!
Ah, the holiday season. The one time of year I become torn between the hatred of a holiday for being so commercialized, and the overwhelming joy it somehow brings anyway.
....holy crap I still don't have presents for anyone ><;;; Gotta get to work!
Anyway, like data said, happy holidays everyone! Be it christmas, hannukah, kwanza, winter solstice, christmahannukwansolstikah, or some other holiday I don't know about :P
... wintereenmas... my friends are planning a DDR party for the hell of it.
but yeah, Chrismtas kinda snuck up this year. School doesn't end until the 23rd here O_O. Hope everyone has fun! Happy holidays,
Arrr! Be havin' yerself a Jolly Christmas!
(Yay Pirate Christmas!)
Heh, for christmas, my family goes to our cousin's house every year, and I just managed to get presents for everybody yesterday. 1 day of shopping! A personal record.
Anyway, happy holidays to all ya'll!
Oooh! Pirate Christmas! And yall already missed my holiday. Yule Solstice, it is teh awesome. because then there are two days less than a week apart that I'm supposed to feast.
Pirates make everything better.
merry christmas, all. :)
and a happy new year.
Oh, and I want to give a shout out to Aetre and DC Bueller to say thanks for donations!
*Is still shocked at how much DC gave.*
i'd have given more, but the majority of my charity money this year went to www.childsplaycharity.org
it's all good, though; i just have a bit of a soft spot for children.
in any case, rock on. i still say this is the best free hosting imaginable, and i'm grateful for the service, so i just wanted to send a little "thank you." :)
Oh, please don't get me wrong, I was not at all suggesting you didn't give enough!
But yeah, Child's play... I bought about a half dozen items for the dallas hospital. One of my favorite comics, Shivae, well her new-born daughter ended up there. Figured I'd do that instead of a cash donation like I did last year. I just couldn't resist buying copies of the lion king for sick kids. :-)
i hear ya. i've been very lucky so far with my health, but i have several friends and family who've needed care as children. anything to bring them a little cheer is worth the effort.
I donated to them as well.
I seem to have lost all recovery information for my Paypal account, so I had to make a new one. It may be a few days.
My family donated a ton to charities through their church. I have no idea which ones, but I think they're local. I just gave them a check and slept in.
My paypal account recently was broke into, so I shut it down and haven't messed with it now. I hate going to banks and cancelling/changing crap when that happens. >.<
What's funny is, the password was a randomized alphanumerical too.

AMEN!!
Oh, and a merry christmas to all you lucky people who managed to avoid the local malls/retail outlets the week before christmas. I couldn't, as I'm working at one now, but it must have been nice to avoid the traffic. :)
Heheh... that's a funny idea. A "local" mall. Nearest mall is four hours away in Denver. Does that qualify as "local?" :-)
I would say no, xeph. You're in the same boat as me.
On to the next holiday, what's everyone doing for New Years? I'm thinkin I need to find an internet party cuz I'm stuck here in my two bit town instead of hopping over to Seattle to enjoy the big city fun....
Sounds like what I'm gonna be doing too :/ can't drive so I can't go down to "First Night Santa Cruz" and watch all the drunken street performing splendor. I'll just be sitting at my comp while my parents are sawing logs, drinking sparkling cider and pretending it's wine or something.
An internet party would be nice.
Well, we had one once before... I got the radio setup so we got the party tunes, and we've got http://xepher.net/chat/ for everyone to hang out at. But most importantly, I also have no life, and will be sitting at home on New Year's! :-) On the plus side, we'll have to do the countdown several times, as all of us are spread out across timezones. If you dig up my last post about XN radio, there's instructions for what to do and what you need if you want to take a turn at being DJ. http://xepher.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=65
I will be home for new years as well!
I, on the other hand, have 3 different places to go to on new years evening. So I won't be around the cpu for that time. No no... I still have no life.
Okay, well I'll be around most of the night, so head to the chat room if, like me, you have no life, and nothing better to do on New Year's Eve. :-)
Chat:

Radio:
http://xepher.net:8000/ (Will be up and down until the party gets going.)
I know someone just swung through the chatroom while I was gone for a minute... if anyone's still up and intersted, we moved it to AIM chat, as there were problems with the chatroom... AIM me at Xepher42
Aw crud, I missed it.
I've been occupied with art lately and now since 12, my JaNoWriMo novel. ~O~ Super late happy holidays and happy new years!!
Aw, I'm sad I missed. Though John Elway is not on my happy list now. I hope you all had fantastic holidays!
Heh I had a lot of bad luck during the holidays in terms of internet stuff. On christmas we had a fluke power outage for some reason. That lasted for a few hours. Then, somewhere between midnight and 4:00am on new years, we had something happen to the underground cable for my internet. We speculate that the cable split from the strange weather conditions that we've been having and water got to the line. So they ran a temporary line, 3 days after the fact, and now I'm finally back online. :/
The Thread Necromancer strikes again!
Happy christmas everyone. Merry saturnalia, gud yule, spiffy solstice, etc. too!
