Site Title: "Elk Art"
SITE DESCRIPTION:
Hullo! I'm a current art student seeking a place to host my personal online art portfolio. I do a lot of illustration and fine arts work with a little 3D modeling on the side. Right now I have sketch blog:
and an automatically generated portfolio from carbonmade:
Those showcase most of my current work. As for web design, I have a simple site up on my school's web space, but it's very slow and unreliable, so I'd like to move it to a friendlier location:
I'm always updating these with new content, but I'd like to condense them into one place. I stumbled across Fraunie's site (http://fraunie.xepher.net) and feel like something similar to her blog/portfolio setup would be perfect for me, so now I'm inspired to do a little redesigning. Thanks for considering my application :)
I'm surprised RISD would have unstable webspace...surely it would occur to them that students would make their own online portfolios? In any case, I flipped through your sketchblog...very awesome!
I'm liking your art a lot. Originality. YES.
I approve. Xepher should have no problem accepting you :D
That's really all I can say on this, I'm only good at expressing myself when a person's application royally sucks.
So be happy, you're awesome.
Thanks a lot!
griever: I guess they figure we're all just going to buy our own, so they don't put too much effort into giving us quality free webspace :-\
Okay, this one's approved. You should get an email shortly with login info and instructions.
::notices her name being mentioned::...hey! That's cool!
If you need any help on what you're trying to achieve, definitely email me. I had a lot of trial and error when it came to the start up of the website, so if you need anything, I don't mind being helpful. :)
