Damn you for getting me hooked on this! :P 36 took me like a week even with all the forum hints; are you still on that level? I'm stuck on 38 now.

Hmm, perhaps. You make a good point about the head thing, but I'm not sure I'm totally sold. My brain's dead right now, so perhaps I'll come up with a good argument tomorrow.

For some reason, I have the impression that even though Six said it was their child, she was actually talking about Boomer's. They need to run a marathon so I can rewatch and then correct all my misguided notions. :/

Yeah, the last ep was pretty random. Totally changes everything.

Anyhow, my thought about Gaius (since I can get your opinion now you've seen it :D) was this:

*****SPOILER*******

If Six is a Cylon in his head, then him being in Six's head should mean that he's a Cylon too. That flashback of when Caprica was being attacked and she shielded him from the blast seems to suggest that they got linked or something at that point, as only that particular Six has that glitch.

I tend to fluctuate between major procrastinator and fanatically focused (the former more than the latter...), but I will have the summer mostly free and I'd be happy to help design the site during those months. (I'm pretty much done with the graphic design portion of my art major, and I'm good at keeping deadlines.) Programming-wise, I'm too rusty for words, so I'll stay out of that. :/

Actually not a spoiler, as there's no definitive evidence that points to it, just some little things. But, apologies.

So the question is, is Gaius a Cylon?

Quote from: DatabitsBSG is pretty good but I still like the Stargate SG1 and Atlantis shows more. They have more imagination in them, and the story allows for pretty much anything to happen... in BSG it's always something limitied to pretty tight plot boundries.
Not a fan of SG1 or Atlantis, although I find SG1 slightly more watchable now that Ben Browder has taken the place of Richard Dean Anderson. Then again, I'm a Farscape fan, so that might be why.

Now, Galatica-- that's a pretty glorious show. But is it just me, or has the bigger plot been foundering a bit the past couple of eps? Haven't had time to watch last week's yet, so it might have picked up again.

The old one was pretty good, just different.

I'm not particularly worried about the security issue; I have all my files backed up. I say do whatever works best for you. I'm not particularly fond of the web-only interface idea, but on the other hand, I'm all for security, so whatever you end up doing is good with me. And I've never had any complaints about the server; minor glitches every now and then come with the territory.

About revenue-- I think I'd have to agree with Gwyn that commercial hosting seems anti the XN ideal. Everything else sounds reasonable. Game servers-- I could see something like a pay-to-play MUD (are those even popular anymore?) or something in the realm of KoL. Counterstrike and that ilk do have their advantages though, I suppose.

Things I use:

Webserver
FTP <--fine with adapting to SCP if you decide to get rid of this
Email
Webmail <--only when I'm not in the vicinity of my computer for several days, so: rarely
IMAP <--have been using this instead of POP as I recall that being the preferred option at one point. Either is ok with me.
SMTP <--rarely
Spam filtering <--although I still get a fair amount of spam every day
Wildcard email <--haven't played with that yet
Statistics
Web-based file manger/upload <--might be a nice alternative
