Art / Roland - Transformed
June 20, 2007, 02:52:35 PM
Art submission number 2: Roland in her "second" state. I wasn't sure if I should start a second topic for this or update my old one, so if the latter is more appropriate please let me know.

So here she is, Crit welcomed but not required ;D

General Chat / Re: Anyone with Allergies?
May 17, 2007, 03:18:53 PM
I was allergic to shellfish (no lobster, crab, shrimp   :'( ) when I was younger and the regular treatment of benedryl to stop the reaction would, apparently, trigger an asthmatic episode, so I had little recourse but to avoid red lobster-type places altogether.

What I didn't know was that your allergies can change every few (4?) years or so, and after biting into a shrip-laden eggroll and not having to go to the hospital, I now enjoy underwater bugs just like everyone else ^.^

General Chat / Amazing Color Changing Card Trick

I caught the background at the end, and when I realized it was different, I noticed the table was tan, but the shirts were completely under my radar

thanks to fes and xeph on the verticle shirt issue. I never would have seen that...

She's a demon, so I'm not sure if there's a rule on the ear height, although you're still right about it's continuing line being low. I think I was going to tilt her head a little to her left, and never did...

thanks so far on the crits, please keep them coming.

Quote from: Xepher...At first, I thought it was supposed to be cat-ears or something, but as there's only one, I'm gonna guess hand.
it is her ear, I just left out the little bit of brown on the other sied that the bangs wouldn't have covered. I know, details, details. Anyway, I thought at least it might look less awkward knowing I didn't try to bend her hand that way (it goes behind her head.)

more importantly, I thought of one for myself: The forearm should go behind the ear it it's going behind the head.

And yeah, I agree with everyone on the pants. again, keep 'em coming.

yay, an art thread.

If you've seen this on my devArt, forgive me. I'm proud of it, and I like to get crit since as much as I love DA, it's more of a lovefest over there when you post something, even when you ask for critique.

braiinss....

actually, I'm just saying hello to all you wonderful xepher peoples, letting you know:

A) not dead yet

B) I've got some stuff brewing for the comic

C) I've wrangled a friend of mine who's like a web ninja (this comming from someone with pretty solid web skills, or skillz if you prefer) to be my web dude, which means I can do more of the whole drawing/writing thing.

D) I got a "big boy" job at the university I attended so I'm pretty busy, but no homework (at least 'til fall) means more comic time...

To summarize (after making you read all that, no less): Hi everyone, I missed you.

-more to come

Applications / The Qazi Corp.
September 11, 2006, 03:39:37 PM
Very strong panel progression Qazi.

My only gripe will be a repeat: navigation should be easier from page to page, and it would be nice if the link to the comic pop-up was closer to the top of the page (at 1024x768, I had to scroll down to see the link in Firefox) so that it's easy to find. At first all I could see was your bannar and the posts.

Nice art, nice humor, hope to see more from you

It would be really nice to see full-blown site at Xepher! The problem is that I can't find free hosting without ads (and with some free space). So I don't have an example site. And I don't want to have half-baked site with ads...
Try something like atspace, freewebs, or even geocities.

They might have limited space or adds, but they will let you put together a sample page so that everyone here can get a good idea of your concept for the site, your ability to create the site, and your dedication to create/update it. It's a pretty common part of the application process, so don't feel singled out!

Not saying there is or isn't anything wrong with it...just wondering if we could see that.

Cool!

Is that a voluntary service, or is there an actual staff position? Does Scott even have an "office"? I have to admit I'm fairly in the dark as to the size of "VGCats Corporate" since he doesn't really mention it in the posts

Sir, I went to the trouble of making my own bannar that would fit my need to link to that whimsical site. What I'm saying is I share your love of them to the point of fault. If I had known that would put me in your good graces, I would have changed my avatar as well.

Anywho, Thanks for the comments ^.^

Ok, so I finally got my stuff organized and over to the xepher servers, so if you wanna check it out without the long painful URL that I was having to use before:

joystickink.xepher.net

With the excecption of the cast page, I've got the whole thing running right, and I've got some forums at

http://joystickink.xepher.net/forums

This outta keep me running until I finish the real revamp of the site...which is in full swing as I type this. Again, thanks Xeph, for making this so painless, and giving so many people a place to be and to grow.
