Hi!

This is a request to change the name of my webcomixer subdomain (http://webcomixer.xepher.net) to unitedwebcomics (http://unitedwebcomics.xepher.net)

You may remember that when I applied for webcomixer the intention was to create a webcomics community. To be honest it did not quite come off as I hoped, however I am with a group of webcomics now that are very interested in doing just that, only they are set on the name 'United Webcomics.' They've designed a logo and everything!

Would that be possible? I hope it's not too much to ask. As ever I am immensely grateful for this great service you provide :)

USERNAME: webcomixer

EMAIL: amuletts [At] yahoo [doT] com

DESCRIPTION: Webcomixer will be a small, reciprocative community of webcomic creators who help one another with advice and promotions. I'm planning on using Wordpress with Buddypress, so the public portion of the website will be a multi-user blog with articles about webcomics such as News, Spotlights, Interviews, advice, Fan Art, etc.

There will be a largely private forum which the members will use to discuss various projects, collaborations, cross-promotions, events and generally hang-out as a sort of support group for one another. Once upon a time there was a thing called the Webcomic Planet Collective and we did some pretty cool stuff, but it was ended. This is kind of the phoenix from the ashes – people like me got a lot out of it and were sad to see it go.

URLs: Well you know mine already it's http://epicfail.xepher.net – I think it's pretty clear this is a separate project though. Here are the URLS of a few other people who've put their hands up to be involved:

http://cosmichellcats.com ; http://wf.taversia.net ; http://y2cl.net ; http://www.rivalangels.com ; http://www.onyxsparrow.com/prepare_to_die ; http://angelk.at/fera

If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer. Thank you for your consideration.

Okay here's my weird problem.  On the front page I have a comic with commentary below it.  The comic is right, the title is right, however what is written thereafter is not the post for that entry, it is in fact that for the first page.  Now I've checked that I didn't accidentally write the same thing twice.  Nope, it should definately be different.

This only seems to be a problem on the index page.  It displays properly in the archive.

Another problem I have is that it does not seem to be counting the comments I receive.  There is just a comments link instead of it saying '1 comment' or '2 comments' etc.  I have recently installed the disqus plugin.  Could this be to blame?  Anyone else run across this kind of problem?

Hi there I've recently got my webcomic started on xepher.  I'd like to post strips in the form of pngs with a transparent background.  This all looks lovely in Firefox but not in internet explorer (ie).  I looked for a fix and found this: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bobosola/ but when I tried putting it into wordpress it didn't seem to work.  Perhaps those with more experience could help me figure out why.  Thanks!

INFO:  I'm using the vertical layout, so I stuck the pngfix.js in that theme folder.  I pasted the line of code in the header file between <head profile="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11"> and </head>

Oh my site is: http://epicfail.xepher.net

Applications / Epic Fail (a web comic)

Description:

"Epic Fail -A mistake of such monumental proportions that it requires its own term in order to sucessfully point out the unfathomable shortcomings of an individual or group. "

I would like to put up a web comic about a group of fantasy heroes going on adventures, getting into trouble, arguing and making mistakes.  The plot is planned, the characters are defined.

Martin: Good hero; attractive, dumb Fighter.  A Tank.
Dirk: Samurai style goody goody/divvy Paladin.
Clodin: Contrary Dwarf, dashes in where angels fear to tread.
Tinuvielle: Mage/Mother.  Sexy, intelligent elf.
Amuletts: Chaotic, trouble-maker/risk-taker.  Cleric of Loki, rogue.

I've been taking this project pretty seriously and working on pages for a while in order to give myself a buffer when I start posting.  (If necessary I can let you see some in advance).  Rating will be WEB-14.   I intend to update weekly and would like to start around mid January.
