What sort of experience do you have with web design? Unlike other free hosts, Xepher does not supply a web template of any sort, so you'll have to code it yourself and upload it via SCP. It would be lovely if you could show us an example of what your website would look like or at least what you're capable of doing. :)

I dig your style (the cover to Ippin is probably my favorite piece in your gallery), and although your comic is on the short side right now, there's already some visible improvement, so I would love to see you continue with it.

That's what I thought it would boil down to; I'll just dig up some tutorials later and see if I can figure it out. Thanks a bunch for trying! (:

Edit: Yay, got it! Hurray for trial and error.

So my friend suckered me into reviving my LiveJournal account as a dream journal, which led to me shopping around for pretty layouts to use. I'd like to use this one, but for some reason the header image and the body of the journal do not align exactly in the live preview or in my own journal (oddly enough, the two are aligned perfectly in the image preview). I know it's only a mere pixel off, but it drives me nuts every time I look at it. Is this due to a flaw in the CSS? I'd correct it myself if I could, but alas, I cannot, so I am reaching out for help here. <3

Unfortunately, the post is only visible to those with LJ accounts who are a part of the Painted Layouts community. Nevertheless, here is the link to the actual post: http://community.livejournal.com/paintedlayouts/9864.html#cutid1

I'd ask the creator myself, but questions on the layout are apparently disabled for the moment.

Ooh, I'd been flipping out about that movie months in advance to my friends. It was as good as I had hoped it would be. (:

Worse than 2 Girls 1 Cup?

I think so.

The mix between Japanese, Assyrian, and Turkish names confuses me, and, like otrstf said, Aslan and Sargon are already well-established characters; you might as well name your protagonist Batman. I think you're better off tweaking the names so that they better mesh with your fantasy setting and don't remind the reader of talking lions.

The Room of Space and Time sounds interesting, but the concept confuses me a little when it concerns Aslan's training. I don't see how he can benefit from only 10 days of training. Maybe if you made it so that 10 Earth years = 100 Space/Time years?

Your art is good, but your writing needs a lot of work, so I suggest you consider doing only a manga adaptation. Good luck! :)

I like the new website design very much. It's easily navigable, and the colors are pleasing. I say yes, as you seem like a dedicated worker who won't be abandoning her site anytime soon. :3

Ah, this looks so dangerous, but I would love to try it. Definitely more intense than bungee swinging.

Lytebox seems pretty nifty, too! :) I like that it can display more than just pictures and link from an iframe. And no worries, Ticky, it's ridiculously easy to install! :3

Ah, much thanks for the lightbox link! I came across a few galleries using it and wondered how the owners did it. I'll have to look into this more once this semester's over, but I wonder if it takes any longer to load than a simple html page.

These are the features listed on the subscriptions page:

"   * Get up to 120 Deviations per page when browsing
    * Browse with No Ads
    * Browse Way Back all the way to 2000
    * Customize 20 slots on your front page
    * Download art to your Mobile Phone with deviantMOBILE(1)
    * Make journals with Polls, Forum, Shoutbox, and even CSS"

$4.95 for a month, $7.95 for three months, or $29.95 for a year... I certainly wouldn't shell out money for such features when I have my very own website to customize ;)

Quote from: TheTwinNex on November 14, 2007, 03:09:22 PMI got everything set up from Databits' tutorial and was trying to enter the password, but it wouldn't take.

Did you make sure to make the host name www.xepher.net as opposed to just xepher.net?

The no more FTP is a huge bummer. I just fixed my program too. =(

Databits' tutorial is so easy to follow, though :) I converted right after I read through it.

So I can't use SSH with the new system?

Edit: Nevermind, I just had to add "www." to the host name.

Everything's working fine for me now. I love the new banner system :)
