Now over at the Free Universe forums they are working as a community to create new open source characters ala Jenny Everywhere. They have already created a Superman-type character called Astro-Man and are working on an armored hero.

Nope, not me.  I didn't think the site owner might have contacted you as well as me.  I just thought I'd call attention to his original Jenny artwork.  I was happy to see he had included the characters I created as well.  It was the first time I'd seen them drawn by someone other than me.

There is a new site focused on public domain and open sourced characters called "The Free Universe."
http://universe.1free.ws

It includes a profile for Jenny (along with many other characters, including the characters I created) with original artwork by the site's creator.

I live in Alaska.  Almost half of the women here resemble that first image of Jenny.  When I first saw it, I just assumed she was an Alaska native.

@Fes - I'll e-mail soon

@Benj - Sweet!  I can't wait to see what someone else does with Jackpott!  While the Outworlder was originally designed as our core character, I always thought Jackpott had some interesting potential.  Happy to see you at the wiki, by the way.

On a side note, this is a reminder I need to finish my Jenny storyline...

With "When Casting Calls" now being available in print, Jenny Everywhere has been added to the Comic Book DataBase ( http://www.comicbookdb.com ), one of the better comic database sites.

Here is the link for the issue:

And here is the link for Jenny herself:

After I discovered Jenny Everywhere I decided to release some characters a friend and I created as open-source characters.  I added them to the Public Domain Super Heroes wiki site:

http://pdsh.wikia.com

Now, other creators have begun to follow suit and the list of original open-source characters is growing:

I think this is an awesome idea.  A project like this could really show people the potential of Jenny Everywhere, and maybe lead to a more widespread use of the character.
