I think you have to go into your database, find the table that keeps track of your options, and make sure the folder name matches up to what you changed it.  If you log into your database, find your table that's something like wp_options, and it'll be the 1st or 2nd row that will have your URL in it...click on the pencil/edit button and make sure it matches the new URL.

http://yoururlhere.com/wp-admin/install.php, unless you have wordpress in a separate directory in which case it would be yoururlhere.com/yourdirectory/wp-admin/install.php.

I like your art style and your overall design.  One thing I don't understand regarding your site design is why you use images for your text, but you'd be making a new design so that's a moot point.

I was also surprised to see quietrevolution on your LJ...I've seen him/her via the expatsjapan community before. *L*  Small world.

I have to agree with tickyhead on this...these older videos were much more entertaining.

I'm not sure if your other ones were avant garde like fes said, but I do agree that they struck me as trying to be artistic in the most cliche way.  And that's okay as a budding filmmaker but if you're actually serious about the craft, I honestly believe it's better not to be trapped in that stereotype.  There's far too much of that stuff on YouTube and I have a hard time finding ramblings (your snow video for example) to be any artistically distinguished from a regular old vlog.

I'm not an artist so, no, I don't do that.

I don't mind snapping back but to pull out the ping-pong paddle, what is left in the film to look at if the emotional, technical, or intellectual is not to be judged?  There's nothing left to look at!

He wasn't even eating toast for 2 minutes...he was making toast...or really, an open-faced PBJ.

In regard to the application, I don't love or hate it...I'm just not that impressed with technique, statement, or delivery in the videos.    Your "artist' statement" does not support your output.

I'm going to say Final Fantasy.

In the About blurb, it says the guy's a performance artist.  Still don't get the statement he was trying to make.

Google translate cracks me up.  But "beast FANG community" should be our slogan.

Hmm...my guess is that it was a short or just plain crappy construction because there were 3 other computers running in the apartment at the time and nothing noticeable.  I think Macs some with some kind of monitoring software but I never used it.  There's also one that will let you know about the internal temperature, which I would like, because those things get really hot.

The boyfriend said something about "firmware" which I've never heard of.  But he is bringing those discs back today.  He also said something about Intel Mac vs. Other Mac (I was tuning out at this point) and so there might be more stuff bring home.  Luckily, he works for a computer repair type company so he has a lot of stuff on hand.  And all I have to do is make a steak or something.  w00t.

It was a Seagate.  My little nerdling boyfriend replaced a new one and informed me that the early Macbooks had faulty Seagate drives (a lot of them anyway).  It was internal.  We got a new one and now it's not recognizing the install disks.

Mostly to rant, but is it fairly common for hard drives to die with no prolonged agonizing click-click?  Cause mine just did without any symptoms of a dying hard drive.  :(  No power surge, no abuse, no viruses, no magnets, no sledgehammer and boom.

I don't think you're out of line, Fes.  Personally, I find nothing wrong with the ad.  I doubt it would affect visitors to my site.  However, I do have to wonder why nudes were chosen when there are so many other good candidates for the banner system.  Or why the nudes weren't cropped to show only a portion, such as a head, a hand, or something benign like that.

Whoops...I forgot the important part (but I didn't forget on my site).  Amended!  And thank you!

Knowhow Trading Post / Xepher.net donation buttons
December 16, 2007, 02:13:43 PM
A while ago, I said that I'd add a Xepher.net donation button to my site.  And then a bunch of stuff happened and I forgot. x.x

So here it is finally.  If anyone wants to use this, please feel free to add it to your site as a way of shuffling $$ to Xepher.  Or if you feel like posting other un-themed donation buttons for other members to use, that would be awesome.  Cause I'm not really an artist and the most I can do is move text around and cut'n'paste.

EDIT: As Xepher pointed out, it is best to link to http://xepher.net/donate.php - the donation page. ^_^
