General Chat / Are you doing anything for Halloween?
October 31, 2006, 02:25:14 AM
Hello again, everyone.

What are ya'll doing for Halloween?

All I'm really doing for it is changing my site, and then I'm going to go stock up on candy after Halloween and lounge around eating it.

So, what are all your plans? (And if ya'll are doing anything with your sites, please link it!)

Uh...'nuf from me.

Knowhow Trading Post / Writing a PHP Templating System

I don't know about that...I can be pretty irritable, especially when the word "especially" is concerned.  There is no "X" anywhere in "especially".

Okay, that's all for now.

Yeah, the "Teh" thing has actually gotten so common, some places actually have spelling-checkers that change "teh" to "the" for you.

Also, "Warshcloth" isn't even a word, and that one only really annoys me in spoken english.  Sorry to disappoint you, Fes.

Art / Got a new project and a new art-stlye
October 25, 2006, 03:43:03 AM
First bit of advice from me:  Don't overdo it.  In my (rather short) experience, I've found it best to stick with only one or two projects.
Next: The art's alright (though not really my sort of thing), and would likely work well for what it sounds like you're planning, relatively quick and effective, though not so complex as to confuse people.
Last:  Be careful with anything where you rely on peoples for input:  you can't always count on people to show up.

Uh...'nuf from me.

Okay, the concept sounds good...

But what about the HTML?  Do you have a website anywhere we could look at?  I'd really like to see something before I say anything more...

Art / Sketch Input, part II
September 09, 2006, 06:44:52 AM
Yeah...I sort of wanted the backgrounds to be seperate from the main image.  I figured it might keep the important parts in front.  The front parts are inked, the background is drawn after.

The program I use for editing has what you mentioned, I just haven't played with it yet.  (i use paint.net, I can't remember where you get it, though I think it was probabaly at paint.net )It is also free.  While it isn't anywhere near as versatile as say, PSP, I don't need it to be.  I may look into Irfan View, though.

Thanks for the input. (again)

Art / Sketch Input, part II

@ Qazi: Heh...yeah, especially if you can tell it's his own grave...

I can see it's hard to read  in the "mini" version, which is the one here, though I know the larger version is more easily read...of course, my mistakes are easier to see, too.

@ fesworks:  Yeah...I changed the link everywhere I could think of when I moved...sorta' ironic that I'd miss the one here.  I'll go fix that, now.  Thanks for pointing it out.

Again, thanks for the input.  And I'm always open for more!

Art / Sketch Input, part II

Okay...as I said in the other "Sketch Input" thread, I made a colored sketch of the character in there, now named "Kheros".

Also...I'm putting this one in its own thread not because the other one had too many posts, or anything, but because I wanted to keep the two sets of comments seperate.

Anyway, here it is, in mini form:

(that image, in its original position, is here for anyone interested.)

Also, you can see the full size image (beware...sort of a big file) right here.
