Are you using Windows Paint to do the comic?
Nope. Currently using Corel Painter 12, and upgrading to Paint Tool Sai as soon as I have the funds.

Though if you're looking for a FREE program, I suggest getting Gimp ^^

Welcome to the Bloodline forums, you can introduce yourself here!

Alright, and filters? I think I remember something about filters blocking links sometimes, do they block anything else?

I need to know the rules you have in place for your forum, and any automatic filter functions that I should know about. I want to avoid changing my rules too much before officially announcing it ^^

Bloodline Forums / Forum Rules
October 18, 2014, 05:31:03 AM
These are the rules for posting on this forum, they may be updated over time if any problems occur.

  • No Spam/Advertising.
Zero exceptions for spam. "Advertising" mainly referring to advertising for the goal of financial gain. To an extent, things like mentioning your Deviant Art account or another webcomic you read are allowed.
  • No Mature content.
This should be obvious given the contents of the comic, but it wouldn't be a rule if I didn't say it was. External links to sites with mature content is also forbidden, as well as directing someone to such a site in a post/topic/username/profile information.
  • No Flaming/Trolling.
If you have conflicting opinions, you're free to state your opinions in a calm, civilized manner, but flaming and trolling have no place here.
  • No promoting illegal activities.
Just don't, it's common sense.
  • No posting copyrighted material (without permission from owner).
All Bloodline content that the artist displays for free on the internet can be linked here. Any other copyrighted material needs permission from it's owner.
  • Be respectful.
Treating each other with a little respect is a common courtesy, and it prevents a lot of unnecessary insults and conflicts.

But most of all, just enjoy yourself! This forum is here so you can connect to the rest of Bloodline's community, I encourage you all join in on some conversations, or start one of your own!

See all of you on the forums,

Excellent! Just "Bloodline Forums" will do.

I am also interested in setting up a forum for my site here on Xepher. Is it as simple as requesting it, or is there a process I need to go through?

Hosting Q&A / Re: Additional add options

It's been around four months now and I'd just like to say I'm still pleased with Comic Rocket's ad service. I also got a Project wonderful ad up, and for now, Comic Rocket seems to be doing better.

Yeah it seems to check out on my end too, I just started making money on it today, but that was because I messed up with installing it.

If you plan on mentioning it along with the other approved adds, you'll probably want to make the "PG" check box mandatory. (It gives you a rating choice when you set it up)

Alright it's set up, It doesn't seem to have pop-ups or anything and it straight up asked me what rating I wanted displayed, only problems I see is it takes a sec to load

This is their advertiser agreement, it doesn't mention pop-up ads in particular, but it seems implied https://www.comic-rocket.com/ads/advertiser-agreement/

Also, it fully understand this statement in their advertiser agreement "Comic Rocket will consider applications for Advertisers consistent with Comic Rocket's vision, mission, and purpose." I recommend having a look at their "About" section https://www.comic-rocket.com/about/

There doesn't seem to be a "suggestions" section here, so I'll ask it as a question.

After looking into Google Adsense and Project wonderful, I've found that while project wonderful is close, neither are quite what I'm looking for, if possible, how might I go about getting other ads approved?

Comic Rocket's webcomic ad service stands out in my mind as one likely to be approved.

Applications / Re: Bloodline

A few questions while I wait for the email...

First off, is "bloodline" included in the url as well as my selected username? It didn't cross my mind till now, and if not, I'd like to change the username to Bloodline, though I assume it's probably too late for that, so no biggie.

About the "no IRC's" rule, does that apply only to chat boxes directly displayed on the site, or does it go as far as links that lead to IRC's? I'm pondering one for the distant future.

Thanks for this opportunity, I'll do my best to make Bloodline a wonderful addition to Xepher. net!
