While I stand by that Halloween is my favorite holiday ever, I think Thanksgiving is quite an awesome holiday.  I'm thankful for Ashley.  

Sorry.  I just get a little irritated when people go all "squee" over this stupid penguin pair rather than, you know, going out and actually supporting some gay people.  By like *gasp* voting!  Or donating to advocacy organizations!  Or campaigning!

I liked that they were together because I thought it was cute.  And I'm not saying that activists should or shouldn't use these or any oher homosexual animal couple for ANYTHING except to throw the arguement "It doesn't happen in nature" out the window.  And I feel that this statement is telling me that I'm stupid to like the penguins, or that I can't find them fun and interesting if I'm also politically involved.  I mean, ask me about my family life, seriously.

I had a whole conversation with some kid today in English about electronics and how to connect them and which computers make good gaming computers. I had to resist the urge to ask if he played WoW. I wasn't afraid of him finding out that I play, I was afraid of finding out that he plays an alliance rogue. THAT is a sad thing indeed.

I don't think that's sad at all.  I think it's guarding yourself wisely.  

Oh, I love people who would never guess I game. God, that almost is insulting to me. Like, what's that supposed to mean? LOL.

I think trying to explain to non-gamers about my gaming habit is just a losing situation.  You either get the above answer or the "But you don't wear much black" answer.  Both are a conversation killer, really.

I heart you Xeph.  But no punching my Tonks, cuz she's too awesome for that.  We can both punch Snape together, though.  I need to think on this so I can post my own.

working in a high school, I see them all, and they all look like dorks.  eventually, I sorted them into four categories:

My students (the kids with special needs who have developed with a much healthier social outlook)

The kids that wear black, thinking they are the first generation to do so and therefore are unique and creative

The kids that live for their high school experience and drive me nuts when they spend their class time making out in the hallways.

The kids just trying to hang on until college.  You can spot these kids by the "please ignore me, in four years I won't have to deal with other kids making out in the hallways" looks.

can i googlebomb and make all searches for "crazy" lead to my personal site, my LJ, and my fave sites?  This would be listed in fave sites, btw.  How does one googlebomb?

I'd like to say I've gotten this in RL.  I was talking to a student (Not one of mine), and saw that he was wearing a shirt that said "Han Shot First"  I told him that I agreed and asked him if he'd ever played the RPG.  He looks at me for a second and then announces, very loudly to the empty hallway that I must be trying to bust him for something because I rehearsed this conversation.  I, of course, am confused, and ask why he thinks that.  "The only girls that play with dice are pretending to support their boyfriends."  Grr.  And my cooperating teacher didn't believe me at first that I was a gamer.  Her son games and she's never met a girl that does that.  So then I started talking about AC and how I love to play small characters because it tends to bump up said AC, and she got it.  Sped teachers are cool like that, we only take a few minutes to accept new concepts about the human race.

this is true.  Even better than pantless o'clock is pantless o'clock with your best friends.  Three girls having pantless o'clock is the funnest way to spend a movie night.

which is really sad, cuz naked is fun.  speaking of naked, I think that's what I'm going to do right now.  *scampers off for pantsless o'clock*

each chapter is an average of 1.5 pages, and I'm up to chapter 10.  So, basic math says...about 15 pages so far.  Damn, now I feel inconsequential.
