Heh alright, if you're willing to help then I'll certainly try. Here's what I have in the config/walrus file (apologies for the huge post, I don't rightly know how to make it a scrollable window):

Both the config and the comic page http://inaccurate-perdition.xepher.net/comic.php are uploaded, along with the archive.php the walrus_calendar.php. No image displays, and the formats are correct as far as I know. Clicking First brings me to a 404. For the $comic_url I've tried just comics/ with no avail. Any ideas? I'm probably missing something obvious.

ep.. wha.. Whoa! You're updating again??? I had the link in my "Hiatus" bookmark folder and had no idea you started :P Looks like I'll have catch up again :P

Cool! I think I got it!

on a side note, can you make "JennyEverywhere.net" on the server? I currently have it as a redirect on GoDaddy, but I want it hosted on Xepher now since I have a more practical use for it... related to why I started this thread. I'll change the nameservers as soon as you do :)

I'm looking to change up a bunch of code over the next few months. It's a real mess right now, and not as clean looking.

EDIT: I should clarify that I want it added to the jennyeverywhere.xepher.net account... then again, looking at what I've said, I suppose it's obvious o_O

*sniff* Well I'm not leaving :P

Well, not Jenny Everywhere or My comics :P

Ardra *might* be a different story, as that's Jason's call, not mine.

Moving the Beacon was a matter of increasing the audience, so hopefully that will happen on the new site.... also, Hopefully it should lighten the bandwidth burden on Xepher... maybe we were inadvertently cause downtime or something. *shrug*

Anyone, on to keeping on topic. I plan to leave the Xepher site up for a month or two. Basically to maintain some old links during the transition. I'll be putting a "we moved" mini-podcast up as the last show here as well. The Xepher site will continue to have all the Xepher links and banners

After a month or two, I'm going to change a few details to kill all outdated links. I'll put a "we moved" page up and such. I plan to keep some of the stuff in my account in a dormant directory in case the new place doesn't work out for whatever reason.

All of the Xepher promos and such within older episodes will remain intact on the new site (no way am I re-recording the breaks for 30+ shows!)

Down the line I'll be doing a Xepher.net Community Showcase, as we aren't restricted on our content :P ;)

I completely forgot!

Ok, Not really :P

I'll pick a Sunday or Saturday sometime in September I think... that or October.

Something far enough ahead where people can coordinate better to get on the show.

Sorry about that.

Thanks for the info. As soon as I get a moment, I'll mess with the code.... see if I can work it.

... how OLD is your computer?

Also, you may have serious issues with your computer too.

I mean, we got [ourusername].xepher.net

but about about when we have our own domain names?

such as www.fesworks.com

is there a way to make a [custom].fesworks.com ??

Awesome Thanks!

Also, I HATE Opera with a BURNING PASSION!

So many "little things" pop up and wreck the page viewing with mis key strokes doing weird things... and also the page viewing itself is effed up and smaller for various site and flash things. pisses me off.

maybe the rest of us aren't lazy, and typing more of the addy?

:P

... Also I get MIndMistress.coMIcgenesis.com for "mi" :P

one thing I don't like about the new Tab system is that instead of the convenient single "X"-out button on the top-right of all the tabs, each has their own tab... that's been pissing me off. Make porn surfing more time consuming.

cbox.ws ? I never have pop-ups.

I also use Firefox, which has a built in pop-up blocker... *shrug* cbox works perfect me.

Jason would be willing to help form a lynch mob and go after some of the people at this datacenter. I'd be willing to go to.

What's your contract with them? Are you stuck with them for a while?

forgive me if this is  too nosey ;) :P

Technical Support / Re: Moving the database

Yea, I always upload the MP3 through the SCP first, then I link to it from the post... instead of "attach file"... so the only part I deal with the blog is with those buttons I select.

I can't say I know what it is. I can say that WordPress/PodPress doesn't like Arclight's settings or SOMEthing.

What I'm doing its clicking a button that detects how big the MP3 is, and how long it is. It then displays it.

this last week, I did not click either one, nor did I give the file a name.

If that does not work (by my not doing anything), then I can;t tell you what's going on, because I don't mess with the code for that. :/
