Is it bad that the one thing I kept thinking was that you didn't use the original Loituma and Numa songs, and that the Caramelldansen dance was animated too slow?

I think I spend too much time on the internet, because that was really fun to watch...

I used the actual official English version of Numa Numa and I used a not-so-used version Loituma's Leva's Polka on purpose. I actually didn't think there was a big different between the original Numa and the English version.. at least not for the segment I used. For Leva's Polka, I wanted something a bit more peppy than the original, and the version I picked had it "skip" in that part, and it gave me the idea to make the static switch between animations.

The Peanut Butter Jelly one was my least favorite.. there was supposed to be another animation before then, but it would have killed me to do it... and seeing how the Intro animation turned out as it did, it would have frustrated me to hell.

Actually, The Caramelldansen dance was NOT animated too slow. IF you've noticed in various videos, characters that don;t really want to dance it, dance slower, but still as a reasonable pace. Ernst clearly did not want to do it.

The "inside joke" for the animations is described in the video Description. I don;t really like "me-me"s that much, and the whole thing, the 200th strip and the 2-year video special are a big sarcastic joke. I try my hardest to keep "me-me"s and pop culture out of P.S.I. (though a couple have slipped in). The special was a chance for me to scratch the itch that has been nagging me, because I actually have a love/hate relationship with "me-me"s.

I knew they were accapella .. or how ever you spell that... but that's what the thing said... Though I thought it really didn't make sense and looked crumby :P

The song I used was from the "official" music video, which its kinda like Night at the Ruxburry from SNL or something.

PSI's 2 year / 200th Strip Special (Strip + Animated video)

Yes! I finally made the two-year mark (technically July 10th I think), and 200 strips!

I am running a special, extra tall, strip. Thematically paired up with an animated video I also made. Nothing THAT special, but good for a laugh.... i hope anyway o_O

Find it all at http://fesandernst.com !

Here is just a sample:

Well, as a sort of requirement, you should post some page work to show that you can at least get something together. Most important factor is that Xepher does not offer any templates or such. Also to know that if you get a approved that you'll be able to get something on the site soon, and not wait months before the pages start showing up.

right guys?

yea, just let me know what files creep up and I might be able to correct them. I just hope I don;t have to go through the nightmare of trying to sort out Wordpress code all over again o_O

Then again, I may be doing that anyway with Ardra.. I've been thinking about ComicPressing the site :P

Thanks for the help again! :D

Well I plan to keep the site up and available for about a month during the transition. Add a new "we moved" MP3, but I was planning to keep all of the older stuff up for a while, until settled in and we don't loose anyone. And then I'll probably delete everything except base images and the "we moved" post and MP3.

If this problem is something I can fix, or if there is a way for me to manage my site's spillage....

If it was "GetID3"... I'm confused because I think I only tried that (if I am thinking of the correct option) once or twice a few months ago... So unless all the files are really old, I guess I can't figure out what script is doing it :/

Technical Support / Moving the database
June 23, 2008, 07:27:57 PM
I need to get a copy of the database to move the wordpress information regarding The Webcomic Beacon over to another server. If this something I can do myself? If so, I have no freaking idea how to do it :/

Very cool art. Though you may need to actually SHOW that you can make HTML pages yourself. It's bound to come up from someone else, so I'm saying it first :P

Sometime this summer I wanna showcase Xepher.net on The Webcomic Beacon Podcast... primarily for webcomics that are somewhat-updating. We can also shamelessly pimp other Xepher site's too. I'll probably tie in a theme of "Promoting Yourself" with it to, and make the who show a bit comedic with "Shameless Promotion", which tends to be entertaining.

Sometime this summer... June/July maybe... maybe July More likely.

If there is anyone from the Xepher Community interested, post here. There are some I might contact via e-mail because i don't think they check the forums that much :P
