though the poor quality of the image (fault of putfile) makes the text seem darker and thicker than it actually is (Just slightly), I didn't see a change... perhaps you are using an uncommon font?

Hmmm.. definetly not something I'd be looking at myself.... I'm biased so I won't comment on the content really.

BUT I will give you my opinion on this: The text.

The text you have is Times New Roman (so it seems, or you picked a non-popular font that my browser does not have). It thin and smallness meshes with the background image too much. I would suggest a bolder font so that the text comes out more away from the background. Perhaps increase all texts by +1 web point might help.

Well, that's my thought anyway on design. Hopefully someone else will be able to comment on the site itself.

did not mean to be so critical sounding when I said "Personal Art" site with the proposal of a webcomic, but I still think it would be cool to see an Uber Cute style webcomic, but i'm a bit bias for webcomics

very cute site, though I agree that that "diagonal arrow" thing feels a bit off. and the two "home" pages.

I also think it would be better if the images opened in the same window than in a new window.

It seems too much of a Personal Art site to me... perhaps if you did something else? I'm sure You could easily make some sort of cute once and week webcomic.. I say once a week because doing the art may take a long time. If you don;t have any ideas you could make a webcomic with someone else that has some ideas. I've seen that done a lot where the story and art is a cooperative effort.

I'd say you could even "sell" custom art of people, say if they submitted a photo or something. That might be interesting to look into.

Been wanting to do this joke for a while.

Hmmm... to be perfectly honest... this isn't my "cup 'o tea". Not much of a manga-style comic person myself, though  there is some I like. But I got to the "captain planet" like part, and that was it for me.

don't get me wrong, looks like good work is in there... just not something i'd personally read.

I guess I am confused to what the overall emphasis or theme of your website is. I know I am relatively new to the boards, but you don't say a whole lot in your application.

Note: the images you have take longer to load than on 14.4 kb/sec modem. Is that the host site that seems so laggy?

"Vista" reminds me of some of the landscape in Minnesota during my State Parks trip... damn, I shoulda taken some "panoram" pics like that ah well... next time.
