General Chat / New featured site?

How about Inaccurate Perdition? Or did it already get its chance? I like that comic a lot, and I can't think of anything else I look at regularly that hasn't already been featured. so....yeah.

if it was an RP funeral though, it's not as funny. In fact.....that's kind of pathetic.

General Chat / Morbid or Funny??

THANK you, Xeph. It's about time someone shared my dream of having a funeral filled with booze and good times. Honestly I never got the whole "mourning" thing either, I think it's mostly just a way for people to make them feel better.

Think about it, most things people do, they do to make themselves feel good. Doing a good deed to someone makes them feel like they are a good person. Mourning over the loss of someone who's dead is prolly just another way of feeling like they aren't a shallow jackass.
"I'm very sad that my friend/relative/person I never really met is dead. That means I'm a good person, right?"
"I'll probably never get to see this person again, which makes me sad. So I'm not going off on some self-serving bias, right?"

That's what I love about psychology, you get to learn just how shallow we really are ;)

As for the topic: Morbidly funny. Hell it's funny enough when someone is stupid enough to die because of a video game, let alone have their funeral IN the game ambushed by their enemies. Seriously, they were practically asking someone to come along and kill them all off with a stunt like that.

further proof that hollywood has run out of ideas, I say. Hell I don't think they even bother thinking anymore, they just pick something that looks like it sells and rehash it over and over until something else starts selling better, then they latch on to THAT and hash, hash, hash all over again.

Its times like these when I question my dream of being an actor.....

uh-huh, soo......only four months of wanting to do the comic? No offense, but that's.....almost no time whatsoever. Seriously. I've been doing my site for only three years and I've gone through tons of changes. My first comic only lasted about 6 months as I recall, before I decided I hated it and took it down. Notice how I say "only" a lot. Fact is that people who rush into a comic are very likely to lose interest just as fast. That's why I haven't been updating my other comic for over a year either, I rushed in without thinking AGAIN and I don't want to screw up the next time around.

I'm not saying yours won't stand the test of time, but it's been proven in history by me and many others that good things come to those who sit on their butts for a while making sure they REALLY want to do it before jumping in head first.

But then, that's just my two cents. most people do the easy thing and ignore me. (except for that one crazy chick, man you'd think I had started going on with some "yo' momma so fat" jokes the way she reacted)

Munerift: On the subject of copyrights, it prolly won't get Xeph in trouble. As far as I know Ragnarok Online is pretty lenient about fan comics, heck they have mini-contests for fan stuff all the time. I don't know much, granted, but I've never heard of them really going after anyone besides the pservers.

On to the site critique, Munerift hit a lot of good points here. It looks like your site is still a work in progress though? Adding those pages it says you'll "work on later" would probably help to get a better idea of what will actually be on there. Art-wise, you're pretty good. Work on getting some real backgrounds in those comics and you'll be even better.

other than that I don't have much to say at the moment. The time change has screwed me up royally over here X_x

Yeah really, all the cool looking werewolves are evil, and all the good ones look terrible.

Thanks for the reccomendations, too, munerift. I've been looking everywhere for something good to read with werewolves in it. :)

Quote from: XepherNow what I'd like to see, after seeing how good of a job they did on Narnia, is a GOOD werewolf movie. If they can make aslan that realistic, then they should finally be able to make a decent looking werewolf movie! Who's with me?
HELLS YES! It's about time someone actually made a good werewolf movie, I mean they have the technology not only in the CGI department but make-up and special effects too, all they need is a good plot. Only problem is, it seems that plot is something hollywood is severely lacking lately.... :

this post has absolutely nothing to do with the main topic at all. :)

Or you could have NO PANTS (because they all inexplicably caught on fire) or underwear (caught fire from the pants) or shirts (more flammable material that people wear, when will they ever learn?) and be forced to walk around either butt naked (with third degree burns) or in a towel! (which eventually also catches fire)

...man there were a lot of parentheses in there.
