Someone stop the bandwagon, I wanna get off!! Much as I hate to admit it being a pseudo-anime artist myself, everything is anime style now, and it sucks.

To be honest I started drawing anime style because I liked how beautiful, yet still cartoony, it could be if used properly (not in the big-boobed, physics-defiying, giant robot way that you see eeeeeeverywhere). I had no idea it was taking over the world at the time, but I shoulda figured it out. I kinda wish I could draw in a more western style, but for now I guess I'm stuck with it (in other words, I suck less at pseudo-anime).

I reeeeeally wish I wasn't stuck on a bandwagon with so much hate against it too. :/ Just because some kids act all hyper and draw generic anime characters and constantly use the only three japanese words they know, that doesn't mean we all do.

I miss the old disney cartoons too. And the cool, Chuck Jones-era looney toons, they were awesome.

admittedly RO could use a lot more in the "mundane skills" area. Sure you can make weapons and potions IF you are a blacksmith/alchemist, but it's definitely more fun if anyone can do it . . . although that's kind of the point of blacksmiths and alchemists is that not everyone can do it, and if everyone could do then they would become unneeded and probably not be in the game, so they'd have to make up something else for a merchant to become, or just scrap the entire merchant idea entirely and put a different class in their place, and judging from the "taekwon" thing they're experimenting with on kRO that would just lead to an unnecissarily complicated job . . . I guess if you look at it from that perspective then it's a bit less grating that they don't have a cookie-making skill.

Hmmm, that would be a cool idea . . . a baking job instead of that stupid taekwon job . . . they can throw burnt cookies at their opponents and have frying pans and spatulas and big spoons as weapons, and bake healing items like cupcakes or muffins, and for their 2nd jobs they can be cooking show hosts or restaurant owners who can hire other little 1st job cooks and use them as cheap labor! Man that'd be cool. Bashing a poring with a giant wooden spoon would be fun.

Maybe when I get all that money for christmas/birthday I know I'm gonna get I'll buy WoW and try that out . . . I've seen it in action and it looks fun. Worst case scenario I can always sell it on eBay :P

meh, runescape was pretty much the only RPG where you can do mundane stuff that I didn't like. I dunno, it just didn't seem as fun as other games I've played. Granted the looks had a tiny effect on my like or dislike, but frankly when a graphic-heavy RPG has graphics so bad that even using my imagination doesn't make them look any better, I usually get bored of playing pretty fast P: besides, I've seen better games for free and insanely whacked out and high standards for RPGs.

I'm lucky enough that money tolerates me on occasion :) plus that I know these awesome neighbors who pay me $10 an hour to babysit their kid. Eeeeeasy money.

man I love it when games have normal skills like cooking or fishing or other stuff like that. It gets boring if everything in the game is "generic tough hero" type stuff.

my friend and I had a mini debate about penguins once, and we found that it was impossible to hate a penguin. I think hollywood's just trying to see how far they can push that.

nope! Not like I was actually planning on winning anyway, but it was fun while it lasted. I'll probably pick up on the one I was planning later just for fun. Or delete it, never to return to wreck havoc upon computer screens again.

Now back to my cultural anthropology ethnography, RPG system, and 6+ other writing projects I've got going.......

I feel sorry for Thanksgiving, Christmas has always been so pushy.

I've never had a thanksgiving with anyone but my parents so it's never been a BIG event for me, but even so nothing beats stuffing yourselves with good food and throwing olive pits at each other. (we're still finding the ones from last year)

Love your art. The story sounds interesting, though mystery has never been my cup-o-tea. (but then again psychosis makes everything better! XD)

Anyway, good luck with the challenge!

you can always use free sites for a temp site, you know. freewebtown.com is a good one, tangle reccomended it to me when I applied and I gotta say it pretty much got me in :)

Also, you should show any art that will be on the actual website on your temp site. that way we can get a good idea.
