Right then, Here's mine! Nothing but a simple pencil sketch, but that's what this is all about isn't it?

Yeah, it's a monster in a waiting room. Well, he's waiting ain't he? :P I was going to make a werewolf, but then I added little horns and wings and it became some strange amalgamation monster. I think he's cute.

He's pissed at bears because while I was doing this I had a really stupid line from House stuck in my head; "I couldn't tackle the bear."

I want to see the collaborator from deviant art come on here and tell us personally that they'll be involved, but that's just me. All in all I'm with Xeph on this one; your website sucks. Royally. B-funk, on the other hand, is really damn good and could probably get in on their own without any trouble. Maybe I'm just paranoid (probably), but it could be that you're simply using the name of somebody whose art looks good to keep yourself afloat. Maybe this "b-funk" doesn't even know you or xepher.net exists at all. How will we know for sure, unless they come on here themselves or, at the very least, you post something that is significant proof that you have or will be working together.

But like I said, I'm paranoid.

It would also be helpful (for yourself more than anything) if you could actually say or show what you two are collaborating on. Sure it's all well and fun to be cryptic and say there are "several projects in the future," but it doesn't help when you need a decent amount of good content to be hosted here, of which you have been found to be lacking. What are these "projects," exactly? What will you each be doing? How long will it take to finish them? If you are in fact collaborating on a game, how much disk space will it take up on the server? What will it look like, play like? What, if anything, do you wish to accomplish with it?

Ah well, I'm done with my interrogation for now. Someone play good-cop for me, will ya?

I never had a monster in my closet. What I did have was Alvin, the imaginary little boy who occasionally turned into a big hairy monster, but I never told anyone. We were bestest fwiends before I shot him into space on my swing set...now he reads bedtime stories to little aliens, and doesn't turn into a monster anymore.

I was a weird child. But I do love the classics, good job Sheera!

Mine's coming soon, honest...I just have to draw it. >>;

I've always been a fan of the idea that "it's not the program you use, it's how you use it!" I think it's better to get used to the code you're using and know what you're doing, as opposed to having a program do half the work. That way when it breaks, you at least have some idea of how to fix it.

The program I use for most all of my web design stuff is AceHTML, and only because it adds pretty colors to everything you do. (I'm not ashamed to admit that there are plenty of times I make mistakes, and having everything color-coded helps a whole lot) Other than that I use it just like I would use notepad...the only buttons I touch ever are "new," "open," "save," and "close."

As for CSS tutorials, I used to have a bunch of good ones bookmarked...before my HD died. Google is your friend, fes! Never forget it!

Also JM, if I may make a suggestion:
Your signature is all kinds of whacked out. When I click the link it takes me to http://www."http.com//godjillaproductions.deviantart.com", which is just all kinds of wrong. You may want to change the link to http://godjillaproductions.deviantart.com, but that's just a suggestion. ;) Wonderful work on there, by the way.

Fantastic!

As for my own contributions...hmmm.

I have more, honest, but I can't brain right now...I need to sleep.

Holy crap, this is silly. I actually read your webcomic, Crow Feathers. XD What a crazy coincidence.

Anyway, enjoy tormenting Xepher, I'm sure it's quite fun.

Congratulations Xeph, the new job sounds like it's situated pretty close to heaven. It's stuff like this that makes me question if I really want to major in that artsy crap...

If only my job had an arcade, or at least a pirate flag or two! All I get is a bunch of menopausal women with mild paranoia.

Alright, it's two days past the deadline, so you all missed out on that one! I'm gonna go ahead and say that the next challenge will be JM's last suggestion: "Monsters are Waiting."

Just to mix it up, here's a second challenge: do the drawing in the style of your favorite artist and/or comic book. This is totally optional, of course, but that won't stop me from trying!

since two weeks seems to be slightly more agreeable, we'll say this ends two weeks from last Friday, on August 29th.

Hope you don't mind me stepping in, JM. ;)

I'm a fan of GIMP at the moment, mostly because it's free. That way I don't have to risk my computer by downloading a cracked file that has a virus, or only comes in German.

Right then, here's my entry for the End of the World:

Because the end is always just the beginning all over again. ;)

I went with a more painterly "free form" sort of speed paint thing with this...it turned out okay, I suppose. Especially for a ten minute quicky.

Monsters on the way, maybe...

Hey now, hold up, you gave us 'til the 15th to finish the last one! I was just about to get started, too...honest...

Ah well, monsters are more my style anyway.

I approve. Xepher should have no problem accepting you :D

That's really all I can say on this, I'm only good at expressing myself when a person's application royally sucks.

So be happy, you're awesome.

Goggles are proof that someone is cool. Bonus points if they wear them on their forehead half the time.

I'm going to have to think up an interesting one for the end of the world...zombies have been quite overdone, lately.

Well damn, it hasn't gone two weeks and we're already losing steam! This simply won't do!

Here's mine, it's just a quick concept sketch more than anything, but what the hell:

Everything gets more badass after an apocalypse, that's just how it goes.
