I finally got around to looking at my statistics. In a typical month I get a hundred-bippity-bip unique visitors (I know my website is not google.com, so I am not disappointed). Sometimes (I guess when I post a link on a forum or something) I get significantly more.
But in those two months I got bubkis. A line of goose eggs.
What happened?

I now have a hp Windows machine (among other reasons, to help me update my website).
What would be a good program to use for this? Remember, I have not done so in most of a decade.

I last updated my website in April 2014, when I still had a PC.
Now I have a Mac and don't know how to do it.
Any help?

I am soon going to switch to an iMac. What do you recommend to replace winSCP?

How do I type Esperanto words like Koŝmarego on my webpages? When I try I get weird puctuation instead of ŝ, so I just use Koshmarego, but I am writing several stories and hope to post them on Planet Mazanec this month, and would like to use the correct word form.

When I started my site, I hooked up to the Animal Transformation Webring. I figured it would be a good way to increase readership. Frankly, my stories only peripherally involved Transformation after my initial usage of the Transformation Story Archive Maillist...most of my stories are of my Mammaloid universe, and I only included the (discarded) plan to transform the Human race to get the early stories on the TSA list.
I have not updated my website in quite a few months. But in recent weeks, I wrote two stories on the Alternate History forum (one of them a Mammaloid story). I tried to access the main page to View Source and copy the current html of the page to modify (my own records are atrociously arranged). I got the site for a second, and then it switched to the webring page. If it does this sometimes (I just tried it again to get the url of the page it switches to, and it did not happen) I would not like for people googling me not to be able to read it, so it is probably best that I drop out of the ring. How do I do this (it is about a decade ago I created my site)?

I updated my site in October fine. But now, although WinSCP gives today as the modified date, I still see the Oct version when I websurf, even when I refresh. What do I do?

Please explain in words of one syllable :-)

I  use the link Xepher gave me back when, but it just returns an error message.

It gives 404 when I click on a link to it.
I get an FTP folder error when I try to update it.
Any advice?
