Technical Support / Re: Emptying out my Folders
August 16, 2008, 04:42:21 PM
Ohh, I did that once last year. I went crazy trying to figure it out but then realized there was a hidden file in a folder I uploaded, thanks to my handy-dandy Mac. :B Still, I was able to delete the folder in my PC's Filezilla but not in my Mac's Cyberduck. I try not to think about it.

I tend to have trouble centering the Xepher box and other things, too. In fact, concerning things like that, divs inside divs, and other elements, they never seem to center when some things do... e_e (Maybe I should start a thread about that sometime, too.)

Hmm...
Someone signed up yesterday and said they never got an email for validation. That worries me, wooooorries, 'cause I also know someone signed up and forgot their password.

Art / Re: Favorite Inking Pens

Hmmm...

http://www.craftsetc.com/store/search.aspx?searchTerm=Millennium+Pen Just a quick search. I think I used to buy them at the Hobby Lobby near my college. The Hobby Lobby site led me to that, hehe.

My big issue with these pens is that the 0.5s are so niiice, but I always end up breaking them. :( This is making me want to do some hand-inking again. I'd like to try fine detail for once...<3

I'm liking your art a lot. Originality. YES.

Inking by hand produces a much more organic line. I like it, especially in comic work. But I don't love it, which is why my work is almost exclusively digital right now. (The other reason being my sketches and lines are just 300% more dynamic on the computer) I'd like to get back into my ink-and-acrylic or watercolor styles, though... (especially since I have a mass of real art media lying around my room left over from my second year of college)

Anyway, I loved inking with Zig Millennium pens, because Microns were as expensive and bled and smelled icky.

I've yet to figure out how to actually ink with nib pens, as they're all scrapy and uh...don't actually do right.

Ahh, I see. I don't think I can do SMPT with the oekaki, so I put that file up.
I found where I could for the forum. I'll assume it needs all that same info?
Thanks. <3

Ahh, I like that.

I should join in on this, but I keep skipping the Illustration Fridays, too. D:

This thread is confusing me lots.

Not being able to send out emails is already starting to frustrate the small amount of people who regged at my forum and oekaki. Is there a simple explanation how to get around that?

Hmm... Well, I got two horrible unregistered spambot/spamposter posts within 24 hours of me setting up the forum, and that shouldn't have happened. I messed with the permissions before then, but guests can't see any of the forums I denied them access to. The Spambots headed for the open General Discussion board.

After that I took away guests' ability to post anywhere, but I don't really want that. Just certain boards. (I also changed the name of General Discussion, since that's the only board they posted in. >_>;')

Ahh, I see.

I've done a lot of digging around on this kind of forum since the other day, but I still haven't figured out how to make guests unable to post in certain forums but still see them.

Ah yeah, it works now. Hee, random Java not working. That's part of why I really don't like Java and avoid using it whenever I can. >_>

For some reason, welcome/activation emails from the forum (or oekaki, like I had a few years ago) don't seem to arrive to people who sign up, so I have to make joining automatic...

Ah, I thought so. I had to restart Firefox to even get the thing to load. I wonder why.

With the new Firefox, my latest Java upgrade, and the fact that I haven't used Oekaki in forever, I have nooo idea what's going on. I'll fiddle with it tomorrow.

Woo! The install works now. <3 The mod still shows up funny, without the text, but I think it's functional (and I know what goes where).

Oh yeah, one more thing. Apparently chat on oekaki takes up a lot of bandwith. I doubt I'll ever have that many people (if any) in there, but if I can fool with it I will for a time.

Ah, I've never seen this before...
