I see *collides with lampost*
Right I have managed to solve to DISQUS problem as well.  There is a ticky button for comment count under advanced options.  Everything is looking pretty now *glee*

Okay - sorry it was my fault.  I wanted to ajust my navigation and apparently replacing this:

<div class="nav">
<a href="<?php echo $first_comic?>"><span style="letter-spacing:-4px;padding-right:4px;">I&#9668;&#9668;</span> First</a> | <?php global $wp_query$wp_query->is_single trueprevious_post_link('%link''&#38;#9668; Previous'TRUE); $wp_query->is_single false?>
</div>

with this:

<div class="nav">
<?php get_comics_navi(); ?>
</div>

(Which I stole from here).  I'm not sure why, but moving it to a different location has fixed it.

DISQUS is responsible for the non-comment counting though, because when I deactivated it the problem went away.  It seems to work okay on other sites using it though... any ideas?

Okay here's my weird problem.  On the front page I have a comic with commentary below it.  The comic is right, the title is right, however what is written thereafter is not the post for that entry, it is in fact that for the first page.  Now I've checked that I didn't accidentally write the same thing twice.  Nope, it should definately be different.

This only seems to be a problem on the index page.  It displays properly in the archive.

Another problem I have is that it does not seem to be counting the comments I receive.  There is just a comments link instead of it saying '1 comment' or '2 comments' etc.  I have recently installed the disqus plugin.  Could this be to blame?  Anyone else run across this kind of problem?

Glad you got it fixed.

Heh... or you can try my solution. Anyone tried visiting http://xepher.net/ with IE6? That's my idea of a "solution." :-D

Heh, that sure is a solution xepher!

Okay I think I have a solution for wordpress, the plugin Wp-UnitPNGfix.  It seems to work fine when I test it.

I found plenty of other 'solutions' searching google, all of which worked on an normal site but not on wordpress for some reason.  This one does.

SheezyArt is the place to be, eh?  Well, I definately dislike dA's profiteering.  What is FA?

WOW.  Well done for tracking that down.  I think I'll stick with comicpress for now though :D

Okay, thanks for the help.  It's probably not too much of a problem given they have fixed this in IE7 but I have replaced a few images with GIFs so it looks a little better in IE6.  As long as most viewers get the good version that is fine.

Hi there I've recently got my webcomic started on xepher.  I'd like to post strips in the form of pngs with a transparent background.  This all looks lovely in Firefox but not in internet explorer (ie).  I looked for a fix and found this: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bobosola/ but when I tried putting it into wordpress it didn't seem to work.  Perhaps those with more experience could help me figure out why.  Thanks!

INFO:  I'm using the vertical layout, so I stuck the pngfix.js in that theme folder.  I pasted the line of code in the header file between <head profile="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11"> and </head>

Oh my site is: http://epicfail.xepher.net

Okay I've got enough up to start posting comics.  The first one's up, new ones every Tuesday.  I had no trouble at all installing comicpress.  Everything was very smooth and easy to use.  Thanks again - I'm really excited!

At the moment my intention is to get the webcomic up (here hopefully) and redesign the site at amuletts.com so that it is more focused and business-like.  I've recently finished university and am trying to go freelance as a website designer.  As such there are lots of things that won't really fit on that site anymore, however I haven't decided what to do with them yet.

So I guess the answer is 'Not all of it, but probably bits & peices... probably.'  Sorry to be really vague.  On the plus side I know what I'm doing with the comic :)
