General Chat / Who has Steam accounts?
June 06, 2011, 05:16:41 PM
Hey folks!

I recently got a new computer capable or running a higher resolution than 800 x 600 so I'm back in the computer gaming world! I was wondering if any of you fine folks had a steam account so I may add some friends.

Again, I'll give doing that a shot, unless someone else has an intense desire to do so. As for making the server a little more protected, you can set it to "private" and the server wont be listed and I would just have to give the address to anyone who wants to log on.

The bottom of this page has the instructions for the server software. http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp

Let me know what I can do to get it running.

Okay, Okay. I'd give running it a shot.  I'm kinda sorta network, internet communication retarded tho, but I'm sure there are wikis for that kind of thing. When it just comes down to banning people or whatever I can manage.

I just really really want an online server to play on that I can be sure I wont get griefed on. I will even EVENTUALLY pick up a gift copy of minecraft for the Xepher here, when I manage to get some money.

Been playing Mincraft for a little while now. I haven't settled down in a world. I keep making new ones and experimenting then deleting them. I should look into getting on a small server...something that wont have a lot of greifers on it.

Don't do it xeph, if he's anything like me he's just going to print the picture and affix it to a papermachie rendition of your likeness!

And that's just creepy.

Where I live it's often to cold to get the thunder and lightning, and when we do it's often just the flashes. I've only ever seen it in "arcs" like that once and it was amazing.

One of my favorite jobs was working in a restaurant if that means anything. I've never worked at just a sandwich shop though :p.

My current job I love so far, but I think it's only been a month since I started there.

It's not abnormal to want to switch jobs (or even careers) every so often, it's probably a little hard to do right now in this market though. I see nothing wrong with someone changing jobs every few years, and not just for more money either.
