It's fascinating to see the different incarnations of our favorite dimension-shifting, toast-loving open source character. I wanted to pay tribute and homage to some of the versions out there, by redrawing their designs with my own line...

Here is my attempt at Jenny Everywhere Blue,
from Gwendolyn Patton's Jenny Everywhere Infinite: QuarkTime
http://www.quarktime.net/
In this comic alone, there are many different versions of Jenny

Here I took on JennyDavid, Jenny merged with her boyfriend into a powerful being,
from the classic story Soulless Mate, which written by Alex Hernandez, with artwork by Scott D. M. Simmons
http://theshifterarchive.com/soullessmate/

And finally, something that might be not quite safe for work, even though it's utterly harmless:
http://www.talkaboutcomics.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=50509&sid=9fa66517b56450a9151305ca97b75cb0
This is my drawing of Jenny's incarnation in the naturist comic The Bare Pit, whose version has had the most influence on my own Jenny.
The Bare Pit is created by Steven Crowley, who'll hopefully find the time to resume the strip next year.

All rights for these specific designs are of course with the individual creators.
Hope you liked these– I might do some more soon.

On my travels through the universe, I found some more bad@$$ versions of our heroine.
The first homage of today is from the story http://theshifterarchive.com/HolidayPandemonium/, as scripted by Alex Hernandez and drawn by Andres Allocco. Their cussing and swearing Jenny spends some time in Greece and is looking for "a shag". Can the mythological creature she encounters there help her?

Other stories by the same team: http://theshifterarchive.com/beauty-as-a-beast-page-1/ and http://theshifterarchive.com/graveyardshift/, plus the controversial http://theshifterarchive.com/stories/new-york-chaos/

Our second Jenny homage of the day is actually her arch-nemesis, Jenny Nowhere, as portrayed by Benji Christensen and Scott D.M. Simmons in the currently defunct Jenny Everywhere Chronicles. You can see a pic of this version on the bottom of this page: http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Jenny_Nowhere

Again, these homages are done with great respect to the original creators who, of course own the particular designs and hopefully will enjoy my interpretations.

That's an excellent homage, thank you!

Check today's comic for something new, it'll be up very shortly!

Very glad you enjoyed my tribute, and thanks so much for the shoutout! Woo!

Always great to see new pages from you, right now there are not too many people working regularly with The Shifter. And you have so many fun versions of her!

Love the new page, especially the design of Jenny Nowhere! Hoping to see more of her.

Similar subject was being discussed at yahoo answers last week. I can post the link if needed.
I'm on Twitter and my essay

Today's first Jenny is from the story When Casting Calls,
written by Jason Frank, Art by Scott Wegner, Color by Lawrence Basso, Lettering by Jeff Powel.

And this Jenny is from The Crossover Thingie by Mikael Oskarsson.

As always, done with humble respect to the original creators.

I'm still behind on the site, but by the next birthday, I will likely have another boost in updating it again. The biggest, hardest update recently was the Warren Ellis forum stuff. I will likely get these updated by the next Jenny Everywhere Day for sure! I enjoy your takes on other people's takes on the character!

Oh, did you ever sort out a printing solution? I have not had a chance to check that blog post where we talked about it.

Fes, thanks as always for your continuous efforts and hard work you put into the site! I know it's hard to find the time on the side to keep these things going.
I've enjoyed seeing the latest updates, and looking forward to seeing my homages whenever you find the time. Will you give credit to the original creators I referenced? That would be fun, but might get complicated :-)

As for printing, I am actually sticking to my model of zeroxed zines with blockprint elements on the cover, but I have found distribution for it so now they are available online and for wholesale! I think for the time being this is the best solution ( I raised the prices slightly to make it all work out ok).
I might actually do an extra-post in the forum, but in the meantime here is the shop:

Only the Tales To Behold books feature Jenny Everywhere, but Journey Into Misery is a sister-series that shares some of the same characters.

Continuing showcasing the many incarnations of this most intrepid open-source character, today's depiction is The Beholder's most humble tribute to Nelson Evergreens version of the character.
His depictions of Jenny Everywhere aka The Shifter were amongst the most defining in the early years. His inking is amazing. You can see them here: http://theshifterarchive.com/stories/names-not-down/ and here: http://theshifterarchive.com/stories/damn-fine-hostile-takeover/

On The BEHOLDER blog you can see a bigger size (plus a bonus drawing!) :-D

Welcome to another episode of The Many Faces of Jenny Everywhere:

Today's contribution is an homage to the mini-comic "Jenny Everywhere Signing Off", by Nigel Palmer.
It was too somber for me so I changed the content slightly...
Since she's in the buff here anyway, I lifted the colors from her appearance in the naturist comic The Bare Pit:http://loxieandzoot.comicgenesis.com/d/20040510.html.

Today's post is a tribute to FesWorks' version of our Jenny, and includes a rendition of Fesworks' own avatar as well!
