I was just wondering I'd like if you have to click on the Hoasting Information page and read the rules and send it. If you don't know what I mean here is an example of what I'd like.

Xepher

*resists grammar nazi urge*

There's a reason why I stopped doing it that way. It was to intentionally make things more difficult.

tickyhead

Oh god Xeph, how can you resist this? I had to literally restrain myself for hours before I could type anything here.

And I agree, making things more difficult does weed out most potential wannabes. Getting rid of that hurdle would be like getting rid of your pop-up blocker, everything good would be swamped by the spam.
I don't hate everyone, I'm just very, very disappointed in them.

Xepher

Okay, ready for a laugh? World6 up there used the "report" tool there at the bottom of each post a couple of times, reporting that... and I quote: "I am reprting this because Xepher said the F word." Referring to this post http://xepher.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=2182#p2182
That's right, reported the me (the site admin) to me for saying a word I didn't say. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Then he reported it a second time. This time, spelling "reporting" correctly. So I did a lookup of the IP address. Same one used for the world6 account, as well as these three.

You can use the "show post" button near the post count to see what they posted, and the funny thing is, he's apparently insulting himself in this thread. As he's both "dkgalaxy" and "Knight" http://xepher.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=279 That said, a lot of the hits from that IP go to http://cammiluna.xepher.net/ which is curious, because there's a title there for "world 4-2" which equals 6. 4+2=6... so, world 6 seems likely, as well as they have a donkeykong thing going on there as well, and the other names that IP registered were all for DK sites.

Markus, I can see your house from space. (Actually, it looks like you moved recently, so that might be the old house. Still, the other one is just up in North Bend, so still close.) I have your parent's phone number too, though I wouldn't be so crass as to post that here. So please, explain to me what you're trying to do, and why you're screwing with me and the other people on this forum.

EDIT: In other news, I'm a tad frightened how easy it was to get all that info. I have more that I'm not posting here, including last name, parent's names, phone numbers, even the condolances they expressed for a family friend that died last June.

griever

Probably cause you said Oh My Foxtrotting Glods. x.x  Some people are too picky like that.

It is kind of creepy how much information you can get online.  I'm rather careful, but I'm still fairly certain you could find out a whole bunch.  Is Markus a hostee?  Or just some visitor that likes to waste his time?

That's why I dont have an internet connection... but I love you anyway Xeph. *thinks of many foes you can track down for her* Bwhahahahaha!

What a strange fellow....

I actually didn't even understand the question until I clicked on the link.

Databits

That's the beauty (and danger) of a persistant connection. Shit, I've tracked down and found missing people online before. It's not that hard really. My friends wife had a father that nobody could find for a number of years. I found him in 15 mins online with nothing more than a name and last residence to go on. Funny how that works isn't it Xeph?

LOL.

Hey Xepher (epic name BTW) just looking around through the old sites I used to go on a long time ago and I found this. I see Xepher, you are an excellent stalker. Anyways yes guys the dumb-ass that made this topic is me. That was me when I was 10 (or 9) years old. And now I am 14 years old.

Why I was screwing with you guys and had such retarted spelling? I do not know. Anyways I bet you totally forgot about this thing huh?

I have it say I cannot believe I was so stupid 0.o. Never knew you could figure so much out with just an IP Adress. It really is scary.

Oh well Xepher here is me answering your question after over 3 years. LOL Peace and Happy Holidays!

dkgalaxy

Oh wow Xepher 0.o

What websties shows that much information from just an IP Adress.

Databits

There's a ton of websites that show information like this now days.  Just google things like "IP Tracking".  Generally they aren't always that accurate though, but they can get pretty darn close.

Haven't found one that told me my Phone Number. Really curious to see which one that was that Xepher used. Irronically my Uncle works for a company that tries to get kids to be safe online.

Databits

I have a feeling that in that case he may have been pulling your chain.

... and your uncle is wasting his time.  As a general rule of thumb, if you want it to be safe, don't put it on the internet.  This goes for servers, personal computers, credit card numbers, and yes even people.
