When I went to generate a site statistic report using my account managment from the main xeph page, I waited for the 10 minutes and went to the page (http://xepher.net/stats/munerift/). This is the only thing I saw:

x VE analog 5.32 x HN munerift.xepher.net x PS 2007 01 03 00 46 x SR 0 x CL 53 x UL 2165673

Ah yes, I'm working on that. I've moved to a new logfile format as of the new year, and I've yet to update the script config to properly parse it. I can probably get it working tonight sometime, but if not then, certainly within a day or so. I'll post here to let you know when it's done.

Okay, done. Should all be working now. It was a lot easier than I thought... at least for getting it back to where it was. http://xepher.net/stats/munerift/

Now, speaking of statistics, you'll note that I'm collecting more data and so there's some more useful data now, such as search words/queries that were used to get to your pages, as well as information about referring pages... that is, places that link to your page. Most of the other tweaks were simply to optimize things. There were some minor changes, so that most "popularity" items (like the directory report) are now ordered by page hits, not amount of data. This means folder with nothing but images may not show up near the top, even if they account for the majority of raw bandwidth. All the graphs and charts explain how they're each sorted, so it should make more sense when you read 'em.

Also, I'm considering different stat report programs. The current user stats are generated straight from a program called Analog. They result in reports that look like... http://xepher.net/stats/missmab/ The specific colors and layout can be tweaked with CSS, so I can pretty up the page itself a bit, but the data and charts are pretty much set. The other option I'm looking at is an secondary report generator called report magic. It basically takes output from analog, and tries to make prettier stuff with it. It uses the exact same numbers and statistics, but it just formats them into a different looking report. That results in something like this. http://xepher.net/stats/xepher-net/ As you can see, it splits everything up into separate pages, and makes totally new graphs at the same time. I think some of the graphs definitely look better, but others (like the hourly summary pie chart) are so cluttered as to be almost useless. Likewise, I'm not a big fan of all the seperate pages, as it just means I have to click around more to compare numbers. Lastly, it's about twice as complicated to do, as whatever script I write has to first run everything through analog, then run that output through report magic. Also, since RM generates it's own charts, any config changes for charts have to be set twice, using totally different configuration layouts.

Anyway, I can do either, and I'm really kinda torn. On the one hand, I like pretty graphs, rather than just red lines. On the other, I like simplicity of having one program do everything. I haven't really played with spicing up the CSS in the analog reports, but it looks like you can change pretty much everything BUT the graphs. So what do ya'll prefer?

...cool, it works now! *happy*

BTW, the number one search engine keyword pointing to us is hentai with 863 hits? WOW.

As for me, I prefer this one please: http://xepher.net/stats/xepher-net/

Yeah, I was weirded out by the search words, but then you look at the top results on google "hentai xepher", and find the links that come here. Several of the highlighted pages include the users page, which describes one comic as "not hentai" another site's forum says "no hentai allowed" and a third has comics making fun of the idea of tentacles, but isn't actually hentai, another is a commisions page that has hentai listed under the "what I won't draw" section... etc. I think people tend to just click top links, and not actually READ if the page they're going to actually matches what they were looking for.

I should try that just to get more traffic!

Welcome to P.S.I.! Its Not Hentai!
