Ardra goes to college at 12, and could have at 10?  She looked a lot older in the pictures arguing with her mother.  Was that post college?
Doogie Howser reference from Lenore?  She really knows her oldies.  I had to look that one up.
Aldla and Ardra started role playing in order to get more math?  I'm surprised they didn't come up with their own system requiring you to solve differential equations and matrices.

I thought I had posted this earlier, but couldn't find it.

Aldla most likely was playing for the role-playing aspect (and dress-up), while Ardra tagged along and got into it for the math... Looking at Aldla this way, you can see how Hollywood perhaps got an extra bump from this.

Aldla is every bit as smart as Ardra...but somehow not as obsessed with education as Ardra is.

The scene you mention that showed Anna arguing with Aldla was probably around the time Aldla graduated and decided to seek her fortune as a Hollywood agent.

Lenore has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of old movies and TV shows.  One suspects she spends a lot of time on IMDB.

And yes, Ardra and Aldla had a weird game setup of their own making, much as you describe.  Isn't there some kind of role-playing setup like that?  GURPS, or something?  It was a hit at MENSA meetings, but not so much anywhere else.  :)

Actually, Aldla looks a lot older in her role playing costume too.
That sounds like a great column.  Ask Lenore about old television and movies.
Never tried GURPS, but you might be right.  Its supposed to be able to model anything.  One day they will use it for commercial simulation.
