Title: Anyone going to Anthrocon this year?
Post by: fesworks on March 18, 2007, 11:51:54 PM
I'm planning on going. I'm set to room with a few people from the DMFA boards.

Still deciding on how to travel yet.

I'd love to go some year. I always think "I'll be able to go next year" because I always think I'll be in a much better position in my life within 12 months. Problem is, I don't stick with anything long enough. I keep changing my mind about where I'm living, or what I'm willing to do for a job, etc. Oh well, I'll say it again, "Maybe next year!"

You'll have to let me know how it is.

Yes, Fes, I'm headed in that direction this year. :)

I plan to be in Artists Alley, wearing my (admittedly beat up) purple bunny ears.

I'll let you know what day I plan to occupy a space there-I don't plan to spend all three days there. I need some time to enjoy the con too. :D

I was thinking about getting a booth too, but I decided against doing something like that at my FIRST CON EXPERIENEC EVER!
I'm going to be the one that looks like Fes... running around everywhere! (I have the "negative" shirt)

Ah. This'll be my third AC, so I feel comfortable with doing some work this time around.

My fiance will be doing the same thing as you-running around experiencing the con. I don't SEE him for three days when AC rolls around and we go.

I'm definitely not going, though my fiance still is.

For me, it came down to...pay for wedding, or go to Anthrocon.

A difficult choice.

... combine the two!

Mwahahahaha!

Well, I hope to go next year, and possibly have a booth.

Thought about that.

AC won't host weddings (more's the pity) and we decided it wasn't a good idea to expose certain members of the family on *both* sides to the fandom.

meh, I have a different view on Marriage IF I ever get married, but I won't go into it too much since you are planning and planning and planning.

I will say this though:

I STRONGLY believe that the act of marriage (if people choose to do it) should be more for the couple and NOT the family and friends.

That's me though.

I'm not really sure you'd want to be these people (http://knoxnews.com/kns/local_news/article/0,1406,KNS_347_5568216,00.html) anyway.

Oh come on, that's like the coolest wedding ever.

And Fes, you're right, it is.

Just my fiance and I like to take into account our guests too...we want everyone to be comfortable.

This is why we're not getting married on the bridge of the Enterprise D.
