Technical Support / FTP failing

i had to reinstall Win 7 and now my WinSCP gives a network error trying to connect to my account, i cant log on to it? from what i seen this is a common problem? but doesnt seem to be fixing itself.

i've recently started using wordpress, and am still learning the ins and out of it - but how do i change my website to point to the main page instead of going to http://www.furfire.org/wordpress all the time, i just want it to use the main domain or change wordpress to something else.
i am a bit lost here on how to do this??

i am finally getting around to updating my site and i want to switch over to wordpress - but i am not very computer savy i really am not sure what i am doing, and i am afraid of breaking things
also need to upgrade to gallery 2.0
any help to get me started on upgrading, well be a big help cause i really am not sure where to start on this?
