Nifty. I'll keep you posted if I find any more issues, say, AFTER 3pm today...

(i.e. at some point I'll need to reinstate cacheing... but not gonna jinx anything for now)

Dashboard and index are now fine, other pages are still borked. How much of this is your doing and how much is me making the problem worse I'm not sure.
#3
... scratch that, dashboard is putting out errors now. WAS working, at least.

Still, at least the index is back.
#4
And access to the dashboard is restored, but the rest of the site still looks borked -- the index is showing up, but everything else is 404'd.

Thanks -- at least now I can see what I'm doing, but we're not out of the woods yet.

... probably my mistake for thinking the solution was to upgrade some wordpress plugins since I was so out of date on a few, but I think the prime offender here (after a little googling) is WP-SuperCache. The Low Memory thing is more an an annoyance by comparison.

... so... yeah, HELP?!

I tried deleting the WP-supercache plugin, but it won't let me remove the directory...

Heyo! Just tried to update wordpress, and of course like a good little vampire I wanted to back up my database first...

... I can't find where to access the PHPMyAdmin interface Like I did before. I looked under "User Services", but I don't see it.

I know Xepher mentioned that he backs up stuff nightly, so should I just go ahead and update (and if it screws up, let him fix it) or what?

Technical Support / Re: Setting Up wordpress/comicpress

Um... I'm completely blanking on how to install Wordpress myself. I know there's already a directory available, but I'm not sure if the wordpress folder goes in the public_html folder or not, and either way I'm having trouble actually accessing the database that's already sitting there. I'm using WinSCP, but it won't let me just "open" the database.

Help?

... Psst, Llearch decided to go and grab last-resort.net (off his own back), so can I get those added into the configs and stuff as well?

SheezyArt lets you browse and post in peace, eh?

*necro's her account there* Might be worth it to post some pages over there. Not like my dA and FA pages are doing much now anyways.

Ironically, all these years after the thread gets necro'd, I would still argue that I consider dA to be a hellhole.

The rift in features between paid/unpaid now is ridiculous; at least at LiveJournal you still have lots of functionality for basic stuff, and if you don't want to pay you can put up with ads. And quite frankly, I see no reason to pay for dA subscriptions when my page basically remains ignored either way; at least on Gaia I get something for wasting my money. ;)

Tried both; both failed. The site only allows for updates via FTP/SFTP, and it swears it's using SFTP...

... It's Blogger.

I'm trying to use its SFTP function, but it's not working. What URL do I need to point it to the sftp server?

I'm trying to update my blog, but it refuses to connect to the ftp... it's automated, so I know it's using the right password and such.

Asking again about it, as I know it's been a couple weeks already, heh.

Quote from: Xepher on October 16, 2007, 06:12:52 AMCan you wait like a week or two? I just got back from India, and I'm trying to get the new server in place as soon as I can. I've already transfered most of the account info, and I don't want to go in manually to add this right now. As soon as the new server is up I can add it quickly and easily though.

Sure, site only updates once-a-week anyhow, and as I said, the name's already seeing a little use ala forwarding.

Just let me know when we can proceed.
