Technical Support / Maybe someone here can help?
December 02, 2007, 01:14:49 AM
So I want to install this portal called PAWS
http://www.afrenchtouch.org/Paws/index.php?p=home

Simple, nice, features I'm looking for. ( and I've been looking for a while ): )
However after I've uploaded all the files, set the chmods (correctly) and finally go to the installation I get this error

QuoteParse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/tripout/public_html/dreams/install/index.php on line 341
http://tripoutdesigns.com/dreams/install/

I posted the error on the original site, but I have doubts it'll be answered. So I thought maybe someone here has an idea what may be up with it?

Technical Support / Server move & scripts?
November 13, 2007, 02:29:53 AM
Hey Xeph, I've got a couple problems with some php scripts.
A couple of 'em aren't working since the server move.
The CJ Tag Board on my front page and the backend admin panel of my art gallery tripout.xepher.net/gallery/admin.php

The tag board is nearly completely broken. The gallery admin only has broken images
edit: actually there's plenty of errors in the gallery script now too.. uploading files for example. =\

Is there something I've got to change to fix this? I tried chmoding the tagboard files back to what they should be ( by the way I noticed the properties of everything is 600? Wasn't it 700 before, for .PHP? Is there even a difference? o0 ) but to no avail, still appears broken.

----
And although it has nothing to do with this thread, I was wondering if we'd have a choice between the old newsbox and the new one with the big ads? I liked the simple customizable Xepher.net + Donate + pageviews one a lot better.
And speaking of which... are our hit counters gone? D:

Technical Support / my database vaporized
October 19, 2007, 06:45:38 AM
Yeah. One of my databases has completely vanished.. every single table in it. I am very very pissed off.

Apparently it's happened twice now.. The first time however I never looked at the database to notice it.. I thought it was problems with my php scripts so I reinstalled them (and thus recreated database's tables)

But just today I noticed one of my pages/script was not working and had an error message (same as last time), and for some reason I decided to go into the database this time to check out a certain configuration..

and they're all gone. Ohhh you have no idea how mad I am right now. And confused! Does anyone have any possible idea what happened?
And for the record.. I never messed with any of the tables.. they've been running fine and so has my script for about a month now - just out of the blue I get the error, and the vanished tables.

and sadly no.. I don't have a backup.. I did not know those things just up and disappear. D=<

Technical Support / Visitor counter.. not counting?
February 14, 2007, 05:39:49 AM
It just decided to stop counting a couple days ago. I know for a fact people have visited it within that time, and yet it's the same number. The account manager displays the correct count, but the one on my site's page itself does not. Anyone else having this problem? Or know if I jacked something up (even though I haven't touched it..)?

http://tripout.xepher.net/
website displays : 16,017
manager displays: 16,230
