Oh no, sorry I didn't get back to this sooner.. yeah, nothing to backup. Heh

It was indeed like this since the new server went online, I thought it might just be a tiny temporary glitch.. and promptly forgot about it! Should have noted that before.

I made the 'Incoming!' folder as a test only a little bit before posting here so I don't think it was that.

It all works now, thanks Xeph :D

Everyone using email needs to pay close attention to the "Unsure" and "Junk" folders to start with. All mail will be delivered to "Unsure" until your spam filter is trained. You train it by moving messages out of Unsure and into the appropriate folder. That is, move spam into "Junk" and it's learned as Junk... move it to your Inbox (or any custom folder you've created... pretty much anything but "Trash") and it will be learned as good (non-spam) email. As the filter learns, it will start delivering only good email to your inbox, and deliver all the spam to "Junk." But you have to watch it to start with, to make sure it doesn't mis-identify some legit email as Junk to start with. That said, check both the Junk and Unsure folders regularly until you're confident the filter is trained well.

Moving unsure items to junk & vice versa works but when I try to move 'good' messages to my inbox from the junk or unsure folder, It seems to work at first then it gives me a "Could not move the message" error a few seconds after =\ and the message simply returns to the junk/unsure folder.

That's the thing though, I did. Right before the errors in the install process.
I put in localhost, user, password, and database name... and then the next page says 'Database Paramaters OK' and then when I hit continue, I get those errors.
hmm.

Alrigty. I changed the chmods to 755. I'll probably change to 700 once(if) I can get everything set up and make sure it works..

'cept now, at the "Database Tables Creation" step I run into this error:
QuoteWarning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Access denied for user 'tripout'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/tripout/public_html/dreams/install/index.php on line 195

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: A link to the server could not be established in /home/tripout/public_html/dreams/install/index.php on line 195
error [ 0 ] Access denied for user 'tripout'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

blargh.

Oooh, that's not good. Yeah the install instructions says to set em to 777 (but it also says 'or 755'.. should I use that one? or 700 like you said?)

Aah, okay. Just like the tagboard. Lazy people.
Thank you very much, Xeph! I really appreciate the help! =)

So I want to install this portal called PAWS
http://www.afrenchtouch.org/Paws/index.php?p=home

Simple, nice, features I'm looking for. ( and I've been looking for a while ): )
However after I've uploaded all the files, set the chmods (correctly) and finally go to the installation I get this error

QuoteParse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/tripout/public_html/dreams/install/index.php on line 341
http://tripoutdesigns.com/dreams/install/

I posted the error on the original site, but I have doubts it'll be answered. So I thought maybe someone here has an idea what may be up with it?

Xeph I've run into another problem D:

Replaced all '<?' with '<?php' for my tagboard - it's working perfectly now. (thankyou!)

But my gallery still turns out the same; only the admin area appears funky, what visitors see is exactly as it should be.
I triple-checked it for any mistakes.. code looks fine, and yet images are still broken and I can't upload any files.

Help?

Aah, okay. I'll give that a shot later on today, thanya' very much Xeph =)

Aw, that's a bummer. I do like the rotating images, the size of em kill me though. No idea where to put it! I'll figure it out, probably end up using the banner one somewhere.. we should have mini banners, those 120x60 (average) kind. I think that'd be useful for a lot of people here actually.

Aaww, inaccurate? I liked that counter anywho, it was fun to watch it =) When you get the web stats up again will it be reset (my bet it will be)?

You probably have to change the password in the configs if it's different than what you use to access your site. The passwords to our SQL databases are now the same password as.. everything else basically.

Technical Support / Server move & scripts?
November 13, 2007, 02:29:53 AM
Hey Xeph, I've got a couple problems with some php scripts.
A couple of 'em aren't working since the server move.
The CJ Tag Board on my front page and the backend admin panel of my art gallery tripout.xepher.net/gallery/admin.php

The tag board is nearly completely broken. The gallery admin only has broken images
edit: actually there's plenty of errors in the gallery script now too.. uploading files for example. =\

Is there something I've got to change to fix this? I tried chmoding the tagboard files back to what they should be ( by the way I noticed the properties of everything is 600? Wasn't it 700 before, for .PHP? Is there even a difference? o0 ) but to no avail, still appears broken.

----
And although it has nothing to do with this thread, I was wondering if we'd have a choice between the old newsbox and the new one with the big ads? I liked the simple customizable Xepher.net + Donate + pageviews one a lot better.
And speaking of which... are our hit counters gone? D:

Yep. That explains it lol I had a feeling it was something like that. I'm retarded.
I replaced my personal database with what I needed.

Thanks Xeph :P
