It looks good, though I don't see absolutely amazing. So I'll ask how much do you plan on updating? And I'll come by if I think of anything else.

hello? I haven't seen any progress with this one yet, and you haven't replied or even seem to have acknowledged Ticky's reply, do you still want this site?

well, your artwrok looks really pretty, but one picture isn't going to cut it. Plans are wonderful, but in Xepher's world, that's all they are. Is there any way you could get some temporary pages and galleries up? Also, I think It'd be a good idea to get your group going a little bit before you apply. While the idea seems good, I don't know how many of those who were here two and a half years ago are still here to vouch for you.

I rather like it ^_^ The pacing might be a little slow, but it's good to exaplain the story thoroughly before you start the action. I'm thinking at least it's not another cliched manga beginning, that starts with a highschool student or a death

It's still going to be a while before I can decide if your story is good or not. but meanwhile, good luck with the application!

First off, I'd just like to say that don't depend on a tablet to do your work for you. A computer mouse works just fine in a lot of cases, and the only reason I would switch over to a tablet would be for saving time and the ability to change pressures. I've been working with a computer mouse for drawing, with or without the Photoshop pen tool and for colour and I've found it only takes a couple of weeks of practice.

And the fact that I have photoshop doesn't change matters either. I've used a lot of other computer programs before and it's just a matter of getting used to them. It just so happens I'm too used to photoshop's functions now :D

Also, there are a lot of comic applications to XN, so why is yours any different? I think you need a little bit more to hook us in. I, personally, think you need a bit more work before you try and create a comic, if not art-wise (cause it's rather pleasant already) then writing and confident-wise. I noticed a lot of cliches and Grammar errors in your application, and maybe that needs a little more work. (And if I'm being picky, I'm very sorry; I have english this semester, lol)

What I mean by confidence is while you have a lot of images, everywhere, I noticed that none of them are made by yourself. People generally don't mind, but sometimes the reader find it misleading to have someone else's art on your page, which is supposed to hold your gallery. If you aren't going to use your own art for icons and layouts and IDs, it tells the reader you aren't creative enough to make your own graphics. Whether or not that may be true, it's the impression anyways.

Good luck on your applications. And sorry if I'm nitpicky- like I said, I've got english this semester :D

Applications / Application for Nexus Comics

well, the length of the application is honestly not a bad thing; the longer the better. Some of the best ones can go on for a good long time.

But regarding your content... First off, could you make your site preview a little bigger? I should take up a good portion of our screen so we can see it clearly. Better yet, post the site online somewhere, so we can go through and test it out.

secondly, while your arts is okay I'd really preferr it if you tried a couple more techniques and styles before you decide to make a webcomic. Playing with the layout of the pages, for one; changing the size of the panels and shapes. Also, use more angles and play around with anatomy. The lines should be a little crisper, too.

Sorry, but I think you need more time before you can apply to Xepher. But that's just my personal opinion. You can wait around to see what the others think too, and I am by no means Xepher :)

Well I love how you have some chemistry on your examples in there, that gave me a kick. ha ha.

But like ticky said, I like the art, although I think they're a little fuzzy? (I can't tell what it is but my left eye starts twitching when something is off nowaday =) ) See if you can get your hands on a graphic editor and toggle the brightness and contrast a little bit?

 Good luck on your application!

Last year I scored "13.80671% - Geekish Tendencies " I just scored "36.09467% - Major Geek"

BOOYAH! You know you're jealous :D Okay, so I MAY not be in the elites just yet, but that's almost three times geekier than one year ago; that's pretty impressive!

[Edit: There were only two questions in that second test I could answer confidently. Best of luck to those that try!]
