IPv6
« on: February 01, 2011, 01:47:40 pm »
Out of interest, what's the plan for IPv6 support?

On another note, the main xepher.net page has:

"Notice: Undefined index: action in /home/httpd/htdocs/header.php on line 61" ...at the top.

The "undefined index" thing should've been fixed as of last night. I moved to a new apartment over the weekend, and I've barely been online. As soon as I got the computer hooked up at the new place, Texas went through "rolling blackouts" because apparently the idea that water turns solid below 32f is new to the power company.

As for IPv6... if/when softlayer (the datacenter I'm hosted with) provides it for free, I'll support it. I won't pay extra for it though, as it's useless to 99% of people right now.

Okay, thanks.  It looks like my domain host does support AAAA records, so hopefully I would be able to make it work for my domain given a v6 address for this server.

I think the the host I use for my other stuff are still sticking their fingers in their ears and going 'la la la' over IPv4 depletion at the moment, hopefully your provider won't do the same :P

Tell 'em Duke is coming...

(And if we see the release of Duke Nukem Forever and widespread IPv6 adoption this year, what will geeks use as a metaphor for things that are never going to happen?)

You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
