Is there a way to get wacom tablet working under linux? I use ubuntu 8.04.

I no longer use Ubuntu, so it's hard to say. This is a question better posted on the Ubuntu forums, not the Xepher forums. :P

But in short answer, yes there is. Mine works great. You need the wacom input/driver plugin for Xorg, which should be in synaptic. Not sure what other packages you need, but gimp seems to support most all of the pressure sensitivity/tilt/etc.

Ohh I should mention this to a friend of mine.

Dunno if she uses Wacom, but she keeps having to reinstall her tablet driver on Ubuntu over and over and sometimes it just doesn't work.
And wasn't it you who told me,
