Yes, there is a kernel-exec support, but that's... iffy. You still have to bring down the entire system to do it, it just saves you from having to run back through BIOS. That wasn't my worry. It was more that the new kernel would fail... that problem still happens if you use kexec.

As for blocking repeated logins, that should be up and going now.

Lei: Yes, it's Ursula Vernon. She's probably my favorite artist of all time.

Though, given the size of this community, we're probably only going to stumble across each other in there occasionally. I should get my internet radio station going again (and perfect electonic chips-n-dip) and then we could set a time and have online parties!

...You know, for all of us losers that don't have any real social life on a saturday night. :/

Oh, just ask my friends... I don't swear, so my insults get VERY creative! You may have met your match... You slime-drinking tick on a camel's rear! :-)

Well, it beats that hollywood POS hands down. That movie was just so awful. At least in this one they didn't TRY to get all deep and mystical. Baldwins can't do "mystical" and people in hollywood should learn this.

"Booger?" I usually hear "little snot" or maybe "green thing that dangles from the nose but never falls," but rarely just "booger." :-P

"The revolution will not be televised!" Oh, wait... maybe it will. :-)
I'll stick with Penny Arcade on this one: "I don't have anything polite to say about the controller for the Nintendo Revolution. Watching the DS shift from something I furrow my brow at to something I take with me everywhere has bought them this courtesy."

I think it's definitely different. If it works as intended, it could be awesome. I can already imagine playing soul calibur where I actually have to swing at my opponent. Great fun for multiplayer games like that. The Wavebird was my favorite interface design of all time. On the other hand, the powerglove was a total failure, and so was the virtual boy. They're batting .500 so we're just gonna have to see what happens when I get my grubby paws on one and try it out.

Watched that a couple days ago. Amazing visuals, abysmal plot. Everything was just an excuse to have a physics-defying sword fight. And not nearly enough Red XIII or Mog!

Quote from: DatabitsGhosts, Ghasts, Ghouls, Mummies, Vampires, Skeletons, Zombies, Death Knights, Liches....

There are plenty of undead types. :)
Ghosts: Okay... maybe. I'm not sure the "Un" applies though.
Ghasts: Not undead... Variety of Ghouls in D&D or Humonoid creatures in Lovecraft's stuff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghasts
Ghouls: Not undead... Demons from arab myth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghoul
Mummies: As mentioned, just zombies with style!
Vampires: Agreed, Undead!
Skeletons: Zombies with no style what so ever! :-)
Death Knights: Umm... too many mythos here. Mostly just a zombie with armor though.
Liches: Mummies that got it right. (Preserving the soul in a canopic jar to avoid death.)

(And yes, I argue just for the sake of it!)

Quote from: Ashley_RoseEuw. No. Just werewolves. I kind of find them . . . sexy. Mmmyummy.
"You might be a furry if..." :-)

Quote from: RoxorFuxorThat "mmmyummy" reminded me of mummies.  They are undead.
Bah, mummies are just zombies with better fashion sense!

Though I suddenly had this image in my head of a shop-teacher mummy rising from the grave. He's wrapped in duct-tape and going on a rampage with WD-40.

Depends on what you classify as "undead." Vampires: Yes. Zombies: Yes. But are werewolves undead? What else? I honestly can't think of any other types of undead... unless you count frankensteinian monsters.

Hey Data... sorry if I sounded like I was insulting you or anything, that wasn't the intent. I'm just really surprised you hadn't seen or heard of this before.

Yes, SPAMALOT is hilarious! One of the few broadway musicals I'd actually want to see. (Not a big musical fan.)

Here, a couple wallpapers I made based on a quote I've always loved. Click the images for the full-size version. (And yes, Ben Franklin really said that.)

I think I did a pretty good job matching lighting and such... And I'm rather proud of the way you can see a little bit of fin through the edge of the water in the second one. Of course, I'm missing the proper radiosity for the lower bit of that whale just forward of the lower flipper.
