well i thougth of 15 min so this wont feel like it would take off a lot of time and, yes, whit the idea of speed painting.
but i dont have any problem whit changing it for 2-3 hrs or even eliminating the time limit.
the thing is you post somethin , at leas a sketch , about the week's topic before the week is over.

lets just make clear the rules ( i dunno, voting or so) before we start.

(Tsunemori, thanks for giving us the first weeks topic :)  )

Art / Art challenge
June 30, 2007, 08:58:39 PM
Hello everyone!
I would like to propouse an art challenge in the forums.
Lemme explain, its like a game:
So someone chooses a topic ( it can either be the first one to post or we can choose someone to do so, it can be the same person or we can change it , whatever you prefer.) and everyone who is interested in participating draws something about that topic in 15 minutes or less ( this is honor based ) then post it here.
At the end we would have a collection of drawings of the same topic by different artists we can look at them and see how other people see that single topic.
Topic changes once a week.

Time you spend scanning or so does not count, just the time you are actually working on the image. Tecnic is free, it can be color or b/w or how ever you want.
The point of this is to practice quick drawing or painting.

So...is anyone interested?   :)

sometimes i draw a little sun or ligthbulb in the place i choose ligth is comming from, then draw arrows marking how the ligth hits the object. it helps me define where are ligths and where are shadows. try to imagine it 3-dimentional  ;) hope this helps you.

you have your style, and it looks nice. the only thing i would advice you about this drawing is to check out for the ligth source, since there are some sligthly shiny spots in the clothing and they all seem to come from diferent points. also, if the left hand? is a weapon, and it is metal, you may consider adding some shiny...er... ligths to it,  to give it the metalic feeling.  ;)

the background is realy nice ( me likes it ) but the white part gets a bit cofusing whit your signature, you can either change it to the other side (left) or change its color, maybe a grey , a ligth gray, to make it clear.

good luck. :)

it looks nice in general. it does looks good.
but proporcions aren't rigth. head is to big, neck is to thin . body is usualy 7and half heads tall.

any way, it does looks nice, steticaly.

i dunno if this may help you, but my 3-d teacher gave me this link to find good references to help me modeling, it may help you to.

well , i actualy like blogs. also, i have one!
its not that i like all blogs, but some of them are interesting and show peoples way of seeing things.

what i dont like are blogs that are mainly of this is me and my friends and we went and have fun. but i guess these are posted so the friends see themselves on the internet, so it is ok, it is just not made for us to see or read, i mean, why would i care?
but im sure that if a close friend writed a blog, i would read it. even if no one else cares.
