Uh...I'm not saying anything more until I at least see what you mean.  Any chance you could get a sample site linked for us?

Though I'm not sure of what you're saying, it sounds like you just want a new forum.  I think you'll need more than that for a Xepher.net site.  There is, however, an excellent chance that I'm just misunderstanding you.

But yeah, a sample is needed before I say more.

@ Fes:  That would be in Gmail, huh?  I'll look when I get home today...school has all email blocked except my Xepher.net one, and there's nothing in there.

Welcome, Rikki!  I honestly can't say I've heard of you, but I'm sure you'll fit right in.  (What is VCL, anyway?)

@Mune: Xepher was more busy, then, too...or at least not online as much.

@Fes:  You do that. :)

Heh...just saw the banner you've got for Beastling.  Nice work, I may have to use that.  Any particular reason you chose that scene, though?

Anyway, I'm not at home right now, and I'd have to rework everything to fit it in, so I probably won't add it, even if you get it done.  Well, eventually, but not immediately.

I didn't say it was unoriginal...just that I couldn't tell.  It does resemble some templates I've seen, though.  Nothing wrong with it, though.  It works, and that's what counts.  Right?

Congrats, by the way.

Xepher's disclaimers do tend to be interesting, don't they?

Well...that'd be at least as regular as my work.  I think the schedule itself is unimportant, as long as you at least try to keep it.  I seem to recall something about more than once a year, though that may have been elsewhere.

Your writing is good.  Made me think of some things I wrote in creative writing class last year.  Mine was, of course, a lot shorter than yours, since I had only 10 minutes to write it, but yours is an awful lot more detailed.  It would've been nice if you had more to go on, but what you've got is excellent.  I can see why you want a different host, though.  The ads are a touch intrusive.

The one thing I can't tell is if you made the site yourself, or if it's a template.  If it is a template (which it looks like it may be) you'll need to make a site somewhere just to prove you can.

Other than that, it looks good (at least to me).  A Thumbs-up from me.

I ain't Xepher, though...

Really?  Cool.  I didn't know that.  I knew that some teams had come from other competitions, just not which other competitions.

I'm back!

@Fes:  I didn't even have time to sketch anything, let alone a comic.  Sorry.

@Griever:  No, our robots weren't allowed to fight.  That would've been expensive, and I doubt the school would have paid for that.  It would've been cool, though.

@Xepher:  This was the F.I.R.S.T. robotics competition.  Can't say I've heard of B.E.S.T.

@Everyone Else:  Thanks, guys!  I appreciate it.

Anyway, our team ended up ranked 52 of 54.  Not that bad, for a rookie team.  It feels good to be back, though.

Well, I'm gonna' be gone the next couple of days.  I'm participating in a Robotics competition, but (strangely enough) I won't have access to the internet.

So, I'll probably be back on Monday...I doubt this will affect any of you, just thought I'd let ya'll know.

Nothing wrong with applying early.  I'm not going to comment on webpage or anything until you get a sample site up, but I don't see anything outright wrong with your art.  It ain't perfect, but it looks good, and I'll work on the assumption that you'll get better.

That's all I'll offer 'till you get a sample up...and I probably won't be on for a while.

I think Wikipedia's going about trying to become noteworthy the wrong way.  I don't think it'll help them in the long run, since all my teachers already tell us that we can't use Wikipedia as a source when they assign research projects because it's unreliable.

It might make a few enemies for them, or it may actually help.  I doubt it, but it won't effect me any, I already disregard Wikipedia.

psst...Reinder:  use bbcode instead of html and it'll work right...

I really don't know alot about any of that, though I doubt you'll put anybody off by asking an honest question.
