Applications / Re: Coverta Hyenna
Last post by Xepher - August 12, 2019, 11:11:02 AM
I'm sorry I didn't see this until now. I'm pretty easy going about applications these days, but before I set up an account, I want to make sure you realize the services here are pretty low level. You get SSH/SFTP access and have to install things like wordpress or other web frameworks yourself. There's nothing point-n-click. Are you comfortable doing that?

Applications / Coverta Hyenna
Last post by GrimnCoyote - July 29, 2019, 12:52:08 PM
Hi I'm a Artist from the wacky land of Michigan. I wanted to create something that I would have to do on a regular basis as I have found myself to procrastinate too much and wanted to change that. So I thought the best way to do that is though a comic strip because it would both challenge my art and writing skills plus I like making people laugh.

Username: GrimnCoyote (It's spelled with an N at the end instead of an M because poor literacy is kewl)

Email: grimnthecoyote@gmail.com

Site Description: The website I plan on making is simplistic with a section for the comic, character description, and hopefully a link to a Patreon.

Comic description: Coverta Hyena is about the life of Hyena in Chicago and all the strange stuff that happens to her. Whether that be her penny pinching boss making his workers lives harder, random apartment shenanigans, or a love struck movie star who can't seem to escape the friend zone. And all of that with bits of pop culture and goofiness sprinkled on top of a clueless protagonist.

Example of my work:
Here's some pages of the comic I want to put on this site
https://www.deviantart.com/grimncoyote/art/The-first-page-of-my-comic-strip-807345441
https://www.deviantart.com/grimncoyote/art/The-second-page-of-my-comic-strip-807345938

A drawing I did for a friend

Now I know what I have to show isn't much but that's what I want to change so I stop procrastinating or doubting my own art abilities and start posting art and comics regularly. I hope you enjoyed what I have to offer and I will be grateful if you allow me to host my comic on your site.

Is there some kind of reference that describes/explains the various species, races and other creatures seen so far (Sarladar, Rougi, Quelladar, Learim, Renid, demon, Tennin)?

Page 275, I could see Ember responding "eight?" with her upbringing (Flint). Though with her appetite for books she would have come across at least some reference to all the gods.

Announcements / Bounced Servers
Last post by Xepher - February 23, 2019, 09:33:27 AM
So the VM host we were currently assigned to at Linode was shared with other servers that were major IO hogs, causing major slowdowns to service here. I've upgraded/downgraded servers, effectively causing us to "bounce" to a new VM host with much lower IO demands, and this should vastly improve performance. So far, I'm getting astoundingly better benchmarks and results. That said, it may be necessary to do this again in the next day or three to explore other profiles. It takes an hour or two each time, so if you find xepher.net down, I ask for your patience. If it's down more than three hours though, something may be wrong, and please feel free to contact me. Try my xepher42 gmail address or any other way you know to contact me.

P.S.I.: A Pessimistic Sense of Inadequacy / Re: What happened to PSI?
Last post by fesworks - February 21, 2019, 06:03:59 PM
Sorry. Long gone. Life happened and I could not keep up and so much time passed that upkeep of the site failed because of a virus or something. I'll try to get a hold of Xepher to have him take down the site and banner. I'd like to put everything back up, somewhere, eventually, but you know.

Were you a reader of PSI? I know I posted a "what will happen, how does it end?" post on the site years ago... has it been 5 years now? I don't remember.

After a long absence, I clicked on one of those cycling Xepher.net link boxes to check upon PSI but found just a blank page saying the account has been disabled. What happened?

Sorry I didn't see this. Did you ever get it figured out. It shouldn't be much different, just might have to use a different program when uploading files. I don't use Mac myself, so the only things I know are basically from google.

I last updated my website in April 2014, when I still had a PC.
Now I have a Mac and don't know how to do it.
Any help?
